Fog/Headlight Help
Fog/Headlight Help
I just ordered a new set of headlights and a set of fog lights for my 05 Civic. I have two issues though.
1. Fog Lights
I know how to install the actual lights and do the wiring, but I can't figue out how to take my console apart to instal the switch. My boss has an 01 Civic, but his consol is different than mine, so I'm at a loss.
2. Head lights
I can't get my factory headlights out. THere's a plastic piece that pops off, and 1 bolt that is visible, but I dont know what else is keeping it bolted on, or how to reach it.
Please help!

1) the center console should be pretty much the same as an 01. you just need to take out all the screws and pull it out.
2) you need to take off you bumper to take off your headlights.

i have an 05 Civic coupe.. just wondering what the easiest way is to run the wiring for aftermarket fog lights.. I can get the console apart for the switch and I know how to run it through the firewall.. but I'm looking for the easiest path through the engine.. any ideas?

I wired mine next to the fuse box to under where the hood meets the fender, run the wires down where the door hinges are, and pop out the rubber hole thingy, and run the wires through there. You can find the full install direction too at www.handaaccessories.com under fog lights.

I did the same thing
The kit should come with a rubber grommet
ok i got the fog lights in.. came with an H11 bulb (12V, 35W) but i have SilverStar headlights so i don't want the white headlights and the yellowish foglights.. can i put in a 12V, 40W SilverStar in the foglight's place? or will it cause a problem?
hey does anyone know it this works on a 04 civic, or is the switch for the foog light somewhere else, cuz i just bought some, and am wondering actually, i thought the switch would go by there the cruise control switch is on the left side of the driver side, BTW, my car is a sedan if that mattes, which i am guessing matters, if not.

it CAN go in the cruise switch if you get creative and cut away some of the plastic. there will be a small gap on the bottom tho cause it wasnt meant to go there. i like this spot better and i also have the lighter assembly so it has to go here anyway. just press in the cruise button before throwing it behind the dash.

prolly gonna get the OEM ones at some point. It pays not getting the cheap solution...
