Help With Exhaust Manifold
Help With Exhaust Manifold
I recently decided to repair my stock LX manifold as it didn't seem like anyone was having good luck with the o2 sensor bypass nor could I even find a place that sells them for a set of LX headers.. So I braised a wire coat hanger all over the manifold and it doesn't leak at all now, however I do have a leak down where the manifold meets the exhaust pipe.. Anyone know how tight I am supposed to tighten those lower flange/spring bolts? I just tighten them as tight as I can go.. Thanks
I just replaced my cracked manifold the other day with a new stock one. It had several big cracks in it. My car sounds so much better now. It used to click and clack until I got on the freeway and got it hot. Now I can actually hear my Exhaust and Intake. Getting alot better MPG now, I think I need to replace my O2 sensors now cause the top one had a cover thing busted off the sensor that was laying in the CAT.
The bottom flange bolts have a stop shoulder thing. You can't tighten the springs all the way. At least on mine (I don't know what the stock ones are like as I have an aftermarket pipe on my car)
