EX 4 Door Flip Flop Trunk
I tried a flip flop using the DIY Network's Tricked Out show's way of doin it and well it didn't work. First the latched wouldn't go where they said and second it didn't seal right. In say this I have done it a totally different way and attached are the results. A flip flop trunk on a EX 4 door.
Well yeah those are the ones you use, but he has them in completely the wrong place.
It looks like he's using it as an arm stopper, but you shouldn't need an arm stopper.
That's also a reason it's not sealing right that lock is where the trunk would contact the weather stripping. And what's up with the plastic ties.

This is as close to a diy for our cars as i could find for you. If you would like to rep that would be nice.
See the lock is there to hold the trunk in original position.

Yeah, that'd be great, take some pictures of the bolts, if you want email them to me. namesinwetcement@gt.rr.com
fIRST OF ALL I TRIED THE diy NETWORK WAY THEN USED THE WAY FROM ON HERE AND NEITHER WORKED! I have a lip I had to work around. That is why the locks are where they are. As for all the holes, trial and error when you have different stuff to work with. New lid and its all good
