So im having my stereo installed tomorrow and i cant decide which speakers i want. eiher jensen 6.5 or pioneer 6.5. which of the two are better? the jensens are cheaper. is jenson a good brand?

thats what i thought...kenwoods are good? what about the pioneer

Oops. Misread your post. For some reason Kenwood and Pioneer run together in my mind. But yeah, pretty much anything is better than Jensen. If you want my advice, though, I would save up a little bit more and buy some quality speakers that are still reasonably priced, such as some Sony's or MTX's. I got 4 MTX's for my old car for $150, and the quality was amazing. Just a JVC head and 4 6.5"s, no amp. If you listen to music alot, like me, you'll appreciate the high-fidelity sound. I know what you mean about being on a tight budget, I'm 17.

ya im 17 to and i have to keep the costs down because of y parents. but ya i have sonys in my truck and they sound good.

I'm a Pioneer guy myself...it's certainly not the best brand you can buy, by any means, but I've been very happy with my system. I also put a set of Pioneer speakers in my nephew's truck, and he's been pleased with 'em. FYI: Jensen used to be a fairly good brand (way back in the "Triax" days), but I'd avoid them now.

ya i have a home stereo thats pioneer and i know its a little redneck but i am redneck but i hooked up the subs that are in my truck to it and it sounded awesome. but i have been very pleased with the quality and durability of the stereo.
