custom made amp box
custom made amp box I made today I will carpet it and im getting different amps too. what do you guys recomend for subs/amps I want two 10's and a 4 channel amp and an amp for the subs. I listen to rock/metal so im not goign for punding thump. I just want the complete system.

Nice...personally I'd stick with Alpine, JL, or Kicker....most likely Alpine for me. 2 Type-R 10s would be good for you since the Type-R are suppose to be great for rock. Then just fine some amps that will match the power.
thanks for all the advice. my system already has a set of alpine type r 6.5's and a set of alpine type r 6x9's so it will fit it good!

Were it me, and I were wanting performance for rock, for a good price, and wanted 10's, I'd seriously consider the Arc Audio KAR10D. It's really a great entry-level priced sub, yet it severely overperforms the price point. It plays tracks such as Boxenkiller, Rage's Take the Power Back, etc with relative ease at full volume, and without audible distortion. It plays kick drums, well, transitions well, etc etc etc. It's a great, great, woofer for the price. Find a shop near you that carries it and give it a listen with your own cd's, and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised for the performance at such a low price (less than $120 each). Great sound quality, great tonal balance, great LFE (low-frequency extension), incredible clarity at both high and low volume levels, and a good build quality.
