Nice...personally I'd stick with Alpine, JL, or Kicker....most likely Alpine for me. 2 Type-R 10s would be good for you since the Type-R are suppose to be great for rock. Then just fine some amps that will match the power.

I love my single 12" Type-R. Really makes the bass drum stand out. I don't listen to rap, but it's great for rock. Double-bass sounds amazing too.

Were it me, and I were wanting performance for rock, for a good price, and wanted 10's, I'd seriously consider the Arc Audio KAR10D. It's really a great entry-level priced sub, yet it severely overperforms the price point. It plays tracks such as Boxenkiller, Rage's Take the Power Back, etc with relative ease at full volume, and without audible distortion. It plays kick drums, well, transitions well, etc etc etc. It's a great, great, woofer for the price. Find a shop near you that carries it and give it a listen with your own cd's, and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised for the performance at such a low price (less than $120 each). Great sound quality, great tonal balance, great LFE (low-frequency extension), incredible clarity at both high and low volume levels, and a good build quality.
