i did search, and i was tinkin of an apline or pioneer. but dunno which model to get? any other suggestion?

all alpine and pioneers are good, jus try to pick one that you'll most likely use it for, dvd, ipod, mp3s, etc...

for a daily driver radio, the two things to look for are "features you want" and "aesthetics"

if you dont like how it looks, its a bad radio. for you.

if it doesnt have the features you want (mp3, cdrw, a flip out TV, internal crossover, AUX inputs, whatever), its no good.

if you dont know what the feature is, then at this time, you dont need it. I suggest sticking with what you know now to come up with a featureset you want. then find whatever fits your aesthetic goals with those features.

dont forget price tag is a feature, too!

i'm plannin to get the apline CDA-9856...cost about $230 and has the features that i want...ipod, mp3, etc. no need for flip out screen.

hookedontronics.com has nice prices.. they have both alpine and pioneer.. we've put pioneer decks in almost all our vehicles and i have a bunch of friends running pioneer too, they're good value decks and can take a lot of abuse..

my next deck will probably be an alpine tho..
