Doing a mock up of my dezod turbo kit on my '03 LX. Having some trouble running the charge pipe from the turbo to the intercooler. It's a real tight fit, doesn't seem like it will be able to connect to the compressor outlet. Maybe I just have to force it in there harder...
BTW I have an auto, so the ATF cooler lines and pressure solenoids are right down there too along w/ the front engine/tranny mount.
Any1 w/ this kit have pics of how your charge piping is run?

i dont have a dezod kit, but i have a similar layout for that particular charge pipe. What exactly about it is giving you a hard time? Is it too big? too long? too many things in the way? pics? mine went in, but not without a good fight.

Wasn't sure what the best route was. Assuming I should run it to the rear of the lower radiator hose, in front of the atf cooler lines, in front of the engine mount.
Don't have my car right now (it's at bodyshop)...it got hit while it was parked, but when I get it back I'll have to take some pics.
Off topic, u know of any good tuners around here. Was looking at RPM nyc and NRG Tech. Can't wait til this thing is up and running

you have it right my tsi kit had almost the same fitment its a tight fit just take time and get those pipes on first or maybe adjust the intercooler a little

Will give the charge piping another try and snap some pics. Also, do the pipes coming out of the compressor go to the top or bottom opening of the intercooler?

Ok, did another mockup of the pipes. Didn't have much time to work w/ it, but I think I was connecting some of the pipes incorrectly
. Took some pics of the piping layout. I think I understand the way they're supposed to go now. Maybe I'm just a dumazz but I really wish this kit came w/ some instructions.

Here are some pics from the mockup. I had to notch the upper radiator support and trim the fan shroud to fit the manifold/turbo/downpipe unit in. I think I will have to trim some more spots on the fan shrould for clearance.
I tried routing the compressor outlet pipe in front of the lower radiator hose, but it kept getting stuck. I'll have to route it to the rear of the hose again to see which works better.
Also, my stock exhaust (LX) can't bolt up to the downpipe (flange is further to the passenger side than stock)...thought it was supposed to be able to. I hope Dezod's downpipe extension I ordered will work with the greddy evo 2 catback I have.

^^
Just make sure you have enough clearance for the turbo between fan and between bumer support. I think you are a little close now.
When running engine moves front and back a little, so your tubo may start hitting something close to it or you can be getting some nasty vibrations.

Tried to route compressor outlet pipe again. Still having major problems. From the measurements I've taken, the compressor outlet sits ~3 1/4" above front motor mount, but when I attach the pipe w/ the coupler, it extends ~7 1/4" below the compressor outlet. Four inches seems like a long ways off. Maybe I'm still routing it incorrectly?
Before I start trimming the hose coupler and cutting the pipe, I just wanted to get some opinions on the best course of action. Maybe I should use a 90 deg. hose coupler instead and cut the elbow off the pipe?

Just curious, can someone w/ a manual tranny take a pic of the front motor mount. Maybe there's more clearance on a 5 spd?
the pipe from the turbo outlet isnt supposed to be that straight down, i have SF kit but my pipe leaves the turbo and turns toward the tranny right away. it doesnt look exactly like yours.

Edit: Also it looks like there is an extra leg or 2 on that pipe too. WTH.............

Someone musta packed it in there by accident.

Took some closeups of the c/p. Want to make sure none of the other pipes besides #4 are out of spec.
Off topic, the port on top of the wastegate hits when I try to close the hood
. I think XSRCivic said grinding down the bolt and possibly adjusting the hood would provide clearance.

1) Ok. The top port of the WG is for a boost controller. The banjo fitting can mill milled down or a replacement one can be bought at a local hardware store. If you don't have a boost controller it is vented to the atmosphere anyway. Hence we redesigned the manifold for V3.
2) The pipe labeled 2 is pictured wrong in the layout (1st pic). Flip it around. Having the pipes laid correctly helps immensly on fitment.
3) The downpipe we are sending you a piece to mate to that one. The guys just are putting the finishing pieces on it.
4) I have a standard sized 3" transition coupler coming your way.
Please feel free to call me or PM me your number so we can get this minor things ironed out.
EDIT: Also I was talking to Dave, and be brought up another good point, you need to re-use the stock donut gasket which is going to give you the additional length you need on that DP. We are fixturing the V3, so it will take about a week or so to fixture it and be done to ship. The new V3 will have a donut gasket assembly of sorts.

Was trying to mockup pipes that run from intercooler-to-throttle body while I figured out what to do about compressor-to-intercooler piping. If you look at the pipes in the very 1st post of this thread, the pipe I labeled 2 (in post #24) is configured w/ its long leg toward the intercooler. However, when I tried to put it that way, fitment was way off. It wouldn't even reach pipe 1...

...turning pipe 2 around (long leg toward the throttle body), I was able to get it to reach pipe 1, but fitment was still real rough. Either way the pipes sit too far in front of the intercooler.
Dezod, I'll call tomorrow to discuss these issues.
