Ok I have a few questions

Before you go blasting me I have read about turbos and nitrous, and I read about the pros and cons about both, and now I have come to the conclusion that I am right back to where I started.......confused.

The only mods I am sure about is the HKS rear section, EX headswap with a stage 1 port and polish, stage 2 clutch, rsx-type s injectors. But that is where the confusion starts.

If I was to go nitrous. I would get the zex wet kit sdome of the nitrouse assesories as needed, stage 1 cams, cam gears, headers,ex pistons. My problem is that I am worried about the numbers I would put up on a 75 shot. Would I at least be able to be a em1 si with bolt ons?

If I went turbo I would go for the TSI extreme kit, 8.8:1 pistons, return line, and all the controllers and timers as needed. I would not run the stage 2 turbo cams, because of hell of a time people have had to past emission with it. My problem with that is that this is my daily driver and I drive over 50 miles a day, and there is no bus that runs up there.

I do plan on boosting some day but after I another car to have as the daily driver. I am mainly looking for reliabilty, but also alittle street cred, because I am not one of those ricers that is going to have a big as muffler and boasting on my 91whp. What do you guys suggest, and do not even sa swap that is out of the question right now. I do have bills and a girl which equal alot of money spent

stop asking people what YOU should do with YOUR car....

it's YOUR car and YOU should be able to make that decision....

how is a swap out of the question? in the end, if you decide to turbo your car, you're gonna be spending as much as a swap....

see that is the thing I would not mind doing a swap, but funds like that is not going to come now or in the near future.

Well before you go trying to put me on blast. I said swap out of the question because the turbo kit that I would put on there is about 2K less than the swap, also I am not saying that what you guys suggest is what I am going to do, it is just a matter of asking your opinion, so if you do not have a opinion then you do not need to say anything

you can pick up a compleat k24 at a junk yard for $800 mounts are 500 and other misc stuff say $1000 so for less than 2500 you can have a swap that has more potential than anything else

Thank you. Did you run into alot of tuning problems? and since I am going with nitrous it is best to just head with the emanage straight from the beginning than getting the vafc?

What is an EM1 exactly? As I was under the impression the American Si hatches were EP3 models

try reading what i posted again... i said it will cost about the same in the end if you decide to turbo your car. why? because if you searched around a little bit, you would see that our cars require more than just a turbo kit on it's own. there is no clear cut shortcut to high performance, you either dish out the cash to do it or do it half-***'d and end up blowing something up... i posted that you should do what you want because we have had several people ask other members here what they should do with their cars as far as swap or turbo and it just turns into a pissing contest... do your homework, make your own conclusions. we have several really complete FAQ at the top of the Forced Induction and Swaps section to help you on your journey.

yea I am not here to really **** on anyone or anything like that. It is just that I have been researching on turbos and swaps for almost a year now. I read the FAQs, and other people's posts, and the thing is that I realize that those mods will be best once my car is not a daily driver, that is why I turned to nitrous. I was more asking for advice than someone actually telling me what to do. I guess it is just natural nervousness, because as I make more and more mods to my car is it take me futher away from others.
