finally completed my major mods.. can help if needed
just got done w/ my weekend, putting on my dc sports header, my injen cai, and my magnaflow catback, so if anyone needs any help, just lemme know.. i'll do what i can... it all seems to work well, tho, stupid car slightly scratched my injen (and it's hitting my strut bar, which called for a small piece of rubber between them)...
next step is lowering when weather's better and putting on my kaotics..
-ds
2k2 civic ex eternal blue pearl
injen CAI
front strut tower brace (unknown)
magnaflow catback (from the group buy here)
dc sports header
coming soon:
eibach sportline drop
kaotic 16" chrome rims

HHC5019 (the only dc sports you can get for a 2k1+)... no throttle cable changes yet.. it has a noticeable difference, tho, the tranny seems to not keep up as much now and the friggin rubber keeps disapppearing from between the intake and the strut bar.. doh.. the headers took me about an hour (only because i had to re-undo the secondary for the donut).. the magnaflow is cool.. what's sucking is a got paranoid yesterday about hydrolock going through a car wash cuz of the undercarriage wash hrm.. i think i need the heat shield/splash guard.... btw.. anyone know an easy way to remove these scraches from the intake? :/

hmmm.. that would require being able to remove/replace the secondary tho wouldn't it? which means the cat go byebye or replaced.. which, seeing as i'm only in the 4k miles range.. i'm not gonna do....

They shouldn't call it a 4-2-1, more like a 4-2. Here is the link and an email from the place...
Honda Header
Don,
It's a 4 into 2 into 1 header. The disadvantage of ceramic coated over stainless is the longevity of the product. The ceramic will not last nearly as long as the stainless unit will. Finally, the stainless is available for your car.
Thanks,

that picture isn't -our- header, it's for a diff year.. HH*5019 is what i have, that's all DC makes... from what i can see...
now on another note.. stupid snow crap.. coming home from work tonight, snow showers.. has me worried about the injen now.. anyone here have the splash guard/shield and/or the aem (one that WORKS cuz where the aem would go, is pretty close to the side of the engine (if there's even enough room).. and please don't say "search search search", i'm asking for _current_ users/opinions, not whether it'll -work- or not..
thanks

Who cares about the pics, look at the parts listings. Did you read the message I included from hardracing.com. He says they finally have the stainless header in stock, HHS5019. Give them a call and check it out.

you don't understand... the HHS5019 is just the stainless of the HHC5019 (which i have).. it's a 4-1, not 4-2-1, it's just the upper.. the C = ceramic S = stainless. it's the same header otherwise.. sorry

I understand completely man, I'm just pointing out that there is finally a stainless header out in addition to the ceramic. We now have two choices, ceramic or stainless steel. The dude is obviously wrong on the 4-2-1 statement but I'm just glad that the stainless is available now.
