4dr Tail Light installation help...

Hey guys, need a little help here. I bought some altezza lights and was able to install the trunk pieces in and out in about 5 min., but niether I nor my friends could figure out how to take out the outer lamps. All screws out, but there seems to be something on the bottom part of the light that wont budge. I went under the car and took out a screw connected to the lamp, but still... I planned to take the car to Syndicate Motorsports tomorrow and have them install it for $20. Can any of ya'll help me save $20? I'd appreciate it!!!

17VtecE MAN THAT IS THE WORST ADVICE EVER....OMFG You should never have to force anything.....Like taking out your guages....ppl said pull the black part off with all your force...hahaha I stuck a small flat head screw driver under the black molding part and poped it out with great ease.......OK OK OK...to answer the question the right way....

SEARCH THE THREADS DUDE.....

But since I have the Civic Manual....that kinda shows how to take apart your whole car.....YOU MUST REMOVE THE BACK BUMPER......OK

I REPEAT...YOU MUST REMOVE THE BACK BUMPER.... Trust dude....I sat in the hot sun for like 3 hours...trying to pry and hammer those lights out....and it does not work.....and that screw on the bottom of the light...yeah thats a screw....unscrew it but you still wont get the lights out......You don't even have to take the whole bumper off in the back...just unscrew most of the screws untill the bumper is lose enough to SAFELY take them out....and to get the insturctions on how to do this.....GO TO YOUR HONDA DEALER...and buy the book if you want....OR....just ask them to photo copy the pages with the info..and they will be soo happy to do it.....hahahaha.....They were gonna charge me $150 to install them I was like F#CK YOU MAN....hahahaha whatever...so just take it upon yourself......it will take 15 min tops.....

A lot of people say they can change the rear lights without taking the bumper off. I myself have changed my tails a couple of times but not once did I not take the bumper off. I don't even know how these people do it or should I say how they let the people in the shops do it.

Asianpride is right. It won't take you more than 15 minutes the first time.

See the thing is....coupes and sedans..and much different.....kinda like butter and chesse.....both are great....but one is harder than the other.....The coupes are lucky....2drs and no bumper removal....you mofoz.....but the sedan you MUST take off the bumper....Trust I have the sedan manual instructions....from the Honda dealer...it's the same thing they have...and it shows that the bumper must come off...or be really lose.....

You dont HAVE TO take off the bumper........ Just loosen the bumper screws a little....the little plasitc peg under the light will then pop out of its hole.....

SUCCESS!!!! It was a big pain in the but with incouragement from you guys, I managed to get it done. Layed on the ground unscrewing for like an hour. While I was on the right side I forgot that I didnt unscrew the little screw that connected to the light. I took a break and was like DOH!!! Anyways, I'll be sure to post pictures soon. Thanx a lot!!!
