octane level on a turbo charge car

octane level on a turbo charge car

ei guys, just wondering...i know that sohc cars like our car use 87 or 89 octane level. for a turbo charge sohc, does anybody use a higher octane?

Folks who care about their engine do. Detonation is bad, especially when you're talking boost.

and yes u would normally use a higher octane gasoline to prevent cursing and crying.

yes u can turbo a automatic- not as much power but it is smoother

6-8 psi is wut everyone normally runs on a stock motor

around 160-180hp is the normal , unless u are jesus, and can afford a AEM

www.dezod.com- is the best kit in most peoples opinion to buy, its sexy, and made of HIGH quality components but u need a bankroll like Bill Gates to get one.

www.turbokits.com- Sells a kit by TSI which is cheaper-

www.prostreetonline.com sells them ALOT-(TSI)-cheaper i may be running this if i cant get the kit i want.

and yes turbos are sexy.
