I have a couple of questions...Please Answer !!
Questions:
How do I remove the door handle panel (the one with the power window controls) to paint it ?
How do I remove the center console around the shifter to paint it (just the peice with the gears listed on it ?
And last but not least, for the AC/Recycle and Defrost buttons on the bottom of the center console, are those lit
by a colored gel, or do I have to replace the LED or get a blue bulb sleeve ?
Thanks...I appreciate it...to those who answer !! Later !!

I figure Off-Topic is for topics unrelated to Civics...this being related to Civics, could fall under the category
Tech Stuff.
I got the 15's the day I bought my car because I can't deal with hubcaps....never had hubcaps, never will.
But here in a week or two I plan on getting a nice set of 5Zigen Fireball 17's, and wrapping them in
205/40-17 K.E. Supra 712's. I like the 15's as well, and am going to hate to part with them.....I just got
my car lowered, so the 15's look a lot better than they did when I had 2.5" of tire well gap. Now there is less than
an inch tire gap.....so needless to say, they look a hell of a lot better. (No Pics Yet of my new tires or lowered)

I got the Goldline Springs and it lowered my car about 1.5....the box claims
1.25 front and .75 rear..but I measured and it is exactly 1.5 front and rear. And yeh, they look pretty good, I have 15"
Konigs wrapped in 205/50-15" Kumho Supra's.

hey antidote...
i've been messin' around with my shifter/console/dash trying to do the same stuff. here's what i know:
you can start to take the center console out by pulling the e-brake up all the way. then, there are two clips at the front of the console (one on driver's side, on on passenger's) that you remove by pressing a crosspoint screwdriver right in the center of them. (press hard, right in the middle of the circle, a pin will slide in and then you can just pull the panel out.) then, pull the seats forward and move to the back seat, take the screw out on either side. the black piece with the storage pockets around the brake handle comes out by pulling.. hard. there are a bunch of clips holding it in; try using a flat-tip screwdriver with some padding underneath it to pry the plastic piece up. once you get a few loose, just yank it out. next, unscrew those two black screws that are just to the rear of the shifter. then slip your key in the shiftlock slot and slide the shifter all the way back. two small screws on the front hold that in, just remove 'em and pull it straight up. the easiest way to get to the gold/silver cover is to just remove the whole black thing it's connected to first. unsnap it from the back, then the front, disconnect the light, and then flip it over to pry the gold cover off. it's on there good, mine took some force to get off.
the door handle panel is held in by those clips also.. start from the armrest end, use a screwdriver to pry it if needed. mine didn't come off easily and i ended up breaking a few of the clips around the front curve (where it connects to the door fabric), so be careful. if the same thing happens, interior adhesive or some kind of glue works.
as for the A/C, recycle and defrost buttons; you have to take the whole audio/climate control panel off anyway so ya might as well do the dials at the same time. pull the piece with the lighter socket off -- just yank, only held in by 4 clips. reach up underneath and there's two screws that hold the audio/climate panel in place... take those out, and yes it's a pain in the *** to do but not impossible... then reach underneath some more and feel around and try to get a hold of either your cd player or the storage bin.. and push.. push.. push the thing out. there's 5 clips or so, if it won't budge, use a screwdriver around the edges to pry it out. disconnect the cables, put it on a table or whatever... the a/c buttons are screwed in, just undo those and then pry the individual buttons off. theres a green (sedan) or orange (coupe) gel in there, take it out and replace to change color. the LEDs (that show when the function is active) are LEDs... i.e., soldered to a board. can't mess with those, and gels do nothing to change the color of LEDs (cuz they're too intense). just repeat for the dials... you'll need to pull the ***** off first though. then, just find some decent colored gels
and as for the bulb sleeves...
i know some members have talked about ordering blue ones from a ford dealer or whatever, but those sleeves can only do so much. as i mentioned above, the sedan has green lighting inside and the coupe has orange. i've got the sedan, and all of my bulbs were capped with those blue sleeves... and i didn't have blue light! but, just like those stupid ziploc ads... since the color output of an ordinary bulb is yellowish-white... yellow plus blue make green. i did get decent blue output by making the blue sleeves even MORE blue with my blue sharpie marker (and this does dim the light some), and put a blue gel on the buttons.. but... just as the argument against those ricey-blue lights, it makes everything harder to see. blue has poor contrast against anything else, and even if it were brighter it would be dim. yeah, it looks cool to the wannabes.. but.. i ended up going to red. audi and BMW can't be wrong

Bad *** dude...thanks for the info !!~!!! Yeh, I have already done the ***** and stuff, but those were easy...and I was gonna paint
my center console to match the shifter, door handles and air vents and sh it but I decided not to, so I didn't want to pull the console off
unless it would be somewhat easy to change the little buttons at the bottom. But if they are gels as well, I I will do those this weekend !!
Well dam, thanks for the info man....I will have some taking of things apart taking place this weekend.
