trouble taking off steering knuckle?

trouble taking off steering knuckle?
well im having some trouble removing the bolt connecting the lower control arm to the steering knuckle [i think thats what its called] the whole assembly that has the rotor,hub and caliper attatched on it. yea my buddy told my i just hammer the sides of the control arm until it breaks lose but i did it for like an hour and it never came out of its hole. any suggestion are appreciated. thanks

make sure the strut is still attached to the knuckle, use a pry bar on the lower control armto pry down on it. Then with a large hammer strike the side of the control arm where the ball joint stud goes thru. Im assuming that you have removed the nut from the ball joint
It shouldnt take all that much force to break the tapper fit. If your unsure of your aim with the hammer leave the nut on the ball joint a coulpe threads to protect it from the hammer

wow ive tried EVERYTHING that i could possibly think off and that bitch still isnt coming off. i have searched and i tried everything and the bolt is still not coming off... HELP

Also, I know another way, at least that what i've used in my 03 Acura EL
Screw nut from the rod 5 levels of theread or so, as long as you wont see the thread, the nut will protect all thread from damage. Then hummer it out from the bottom and it should come out. It took me no time to finish with it.
Hopefuly I comprehed the process well...

Its good you took care of it with little blood.
Are dropping your civic?
If you are, then make sure you will allign front struts when putting them together. Otherwise your front suspention will make funny noises

lol naw its cuz i broke off my wheel studs. but now therse a squeeky noise comin from the side i replaced the studs. heard a lot about this problem. im gonna search
