Hey everyone.. lookin to buy a civic soon.. advice please?

hi guys, i'm vic, 19 from ohio, and i've always loved the looks of civics. I'm looking to buy a civic, as I have a bout $6,000 saved up. Now i'm wondering, should I just buy a stock civic and mod it myself or just buy a modded one that I like? I heard most people like to purchase a stock on and mod it themselves to ensure none of the mods are done incorrectly. Also is that enough to buy a decent civic? I only can save about $600 a month due to college and other expenses eating away paychecks, and i'm pretty impatient, should I wait longer or can I buy a decent 2 or 4 door black or white civic with that money, and then save up for rims, etc. ? Thanks for the advice everyone

depends on what year you want. if you did your research you could probably find a decent civic for that amount. i've seen peaople sellin 98 coupes in black around here for about 2 grand. i would buy it stock and mod it yourself. that way you can really make the car yours, mod it the way you want, etc. i feel you on the college life eatin away money i have that same problem. if you can save ur money til this summer and purchase the car then, that way you have a lot of time to mod it. plus you'll have more money. it basically comes down to whether or not you want a decent used civic or a questionable one...with a lot of miles on it, etc. the more money you have the easier it will be to buy and mod. don't buy an already modified civic tho. hope all this helps. good luck bro

look into what you want to do to a car. if your into looks and putting a nice audio system in a car, the civics the way to go. if your going for speed, then um...unless your have another 6g's you arent going to go too fast. but enjoy your stay and hope u get a 7thgencivic.
