Tranny bumps before car is warmed up?

I need advice. Before my car is all the way warmed up, the Auto tranny sometimes "bumps" when it shifts. Does anyone else have this problem? Im going to start driving in d3 until its all the way warmed up.. Btw.. will this cause future problems?

great idea both for changing fluid every 10k and warming up the car in d3. it warms faster that way. i'm not sure what you mean by bump, you don't mean its slipping gears right? it could be rough when the fluid is cold because the oil is alot thicker and can't lube everything as well.

well i have solved the problem, i simply just keep it in d3 until its totally warmed up, but one more question, is it hard on the tranny to shift it into gear before it is warmed up or before the fluid is circulated... meaning i park in the garage, and in the morning when i start it up, i shift it into reverse right away,

obviously i cant let it warm up in the garage.. so it this hard on the tranny? would i be better off parking outside so i can warm it up alittle bit and let the fluid circulate atleast before putting it into gear? i know this seems kinda ****, but with how fragile these trannies are, im trying to get it to last as long as possible thx.

well fluid is thicker when colder so it might not lubricate everything as well. but there is no way around it. i guess if you warm up the car you can put it in drive and just hold your foot on the brakes. the fluid warms up alot faster when there is load on the trans (when the trans is in gear).
