When and how to check my liquids?

I just bought a 2005 Civic DX coupe and I'm wondering about the all the liquids. I'm assuming the dealership would have changed the oils and stuff like that, but what do I need to do?

oil - I guess it was changed, should I do it again to be sure? And how do I know if it's low? I pulled out the dipstick and there's no markings at all.

brake fluid - I don't know where to start on this. Does it even get changed?

transmission fluid - Does a manual even have tranny fluid? I guess it does, does it get changed?

windshield washer fluid - self explanatory

coolant - What is this?

power steering fluid - Again, no idea if you change this.

Anything else?

oil -if there is no oil on the dipstick (check it when car is off and sitting overnight for best most optimal results) you need to take it back to the dealr (if it came from honda) and demand answers
brake fluid - brake fluid in this car is clear, the darker it gets the more usless it becomes. varies with driving habits

transmission fluid - manual has clutch fluid and tranny fluid. like brake fluid this varies with driving

windshield washer fluid - self explanatory

coolant - keeps engine from overheating as well as other parts of vehicle. flush and refil by following the DIY on this site.

power steering fluid - get this changed every 50k or so.

check your belts and radiator hoses and spark plugs and air filter and cabin filter (the one behind the glovebox)

and buy some Fp60 for the gas and lc20 for the oil.....

when you pull the motor oil dipstick out, their will be 2 small circular dots. you want to fill so it sits inbetween those 2 small dots. just remember, its better to underfill than overfill.
if you keep getting no signs or markings, take the dip stick, wipe it clean, and spray water on it and wipe it clean with a towel; then try again.

not to be rude or harsh, but if you dont have a clue as to how to check some of this, dont even bother opening the hood, just take it to the dealer for maintenence or take it to a lube shop and when they change the oil, have them check and top off the fluids. this is how people end up putting PS fluid in there brake fluid, because they have no idea what there doing. if you dont know how it works or when to change it, dont touch it, or learn about it first.

i think it would be better for him to learn. if i did that when i got back from the dealer, i wouldn't have a working motor by now. open the hood and LOOK around. buy a service manual and compare with the diagrams. that book is great and shows where everything is. come to think of it alot of what you asked is in the owner manual.
