anything over four inches would be overdoing it... soooo 2.5 and 3.0 foot diameter downpipes would be overkill.... j/k

an exhaust with little to no backpressure is the best exhaust for a turbo'd car...

if your car is stock, a 3" downpipe wont yield any real gains.

now, if your car is highly modified running a lot of boost, then you would see much larger gains.

you guys are totally missing my question. I know that anything bigger than 3' on our cars is stupid hell i know 2 friends that have supras that have 4' exhausts and there's a local that has a topmount onefab with a GT35 and his downpipe is freakin 4'. but my real quesition is i want to see somebody on here dyno there turbo setup with 2.5 dp then upgrade to a 3' dp and see what the hp difference is.

this is what a 4' downpipe looks like

yes................ you are mistaken

I dont think anyone is going to take their car apart to fulfill your request. Believe me, taking your downpipe off then custom making a larger one is quite a large task. It will cost you quite a bit of money and time unless you can do all of the work yourself (including the fab work).

The best way to see these gains would be to do it yourself when your kit is done. That way, you know that the facts are correct. Just make sure all of the other conditions are close to the same (same temps, same dyno, etc, etc.)

there is no backwards. You can mount it with the intake side pointing whatever direction you want. As long as the oil drain points down, its fine.
