custom Poly-urethane?
where can i find some poly urethane supplies so i can make my own reinforced suspension bushings? Im in so cal, does anyone know how much the supplies go for?

You need a molding machine (which isn't cheap or practical). I guess they do make machinable poly, but most people machine delrin if they make their own bushings.
I'm pretty sure ES makes poly replacements for almost all if not all of the bushings.

Rep Power: 0 ive read in other tech articles somewhere sometime that there was somewhere you could buy the materials to mix your own poly urethane compound and just pour it into a mold of your own.
thats all im looking for.

why?? poly bushings really aren't that expensive...i'm thinking it would actually cost about the same, if not more, to make your own than to buy from a known good source....just my .02

Rep Power: 0 the problem is i heard all kinds of negative crap about replacing the bushings abotu them being ridiculously load, and messing up suspension components, if you pour your ownaround your stocks your reinforcing them yet still retaining a stock like ride

Rep Power: 424 It still helps to mold them under pressure. Just gravity pouring leaves the possibility of an air pocket getting stuck in the bushing, which needless to say, will kill the bushing almost instantly. The first time it's stretched, its going to blow a hole in the bushing, done deal.

Rep Power: 0 making mounts is easy... all you need is a stock mount, and poly-filler (any hardware store should have it) and all you do is fill the mount, with the poly tube in a caulking gun. Then smooth it off.
