Need a new DSL provider, suggestions?
****
I've been using VIF.com for like 2 years... Just recently they started to throttle high-volume users... They were the greatest - unlimited super fast download speeds, unlimited dialup (it's the feeling of free, and unlimited, I never used it tho), and cheap pricing that made is thuper...
The nerds on dslreports.com and canadianisp.com have reported that they've set up 2 networks now, 1 for the ****s that download > 100GB /mth, and others. I'm downloading 200GB/month
Takes forever, if ever, to load web pages at night :wtf:
Any recommendations on DSL providers? Looking for unlimited download, little/no throttling of ports, and reasonable price. Can't do cable - no cable in the room.
3Web looks shady....
Sympatico High Speed -> $45/mth, and FREE Xbox with contract... Is that a good deal? Are they *unlimited*?
BT owns me ... Downloading entire DVDs

Sympatico is pretty sht..
Do you really need DSL? Oh wait, i read it..no cable, POO. Rogers Xtreme owns me, 45 bucks a month 3.5 - 4.5 mbps downloads.
I have some friends that use Primus for DSL. but yeah, Sympatico sucks..dont get it..anything but sympatico. I've known a handful of ppl who switched from Sympatico to Rogers or some other ISP.

3web is ****, hands down. I've used them before and wanted to cancel after a day. I agreed to a 3 month contract.
Sympatico is my choice because their customer service is good. Speed is always consistent unlike cable.
Rogers cable is the fastest out of all of them. Speed is not consistent, and Rogers CS totally sucks.
If you are just using it to download stuff get Rogers cable. If you play online games where you need a high and consistent ping rate, get sympatico.
btw, I've used all three choices mentioned above.
