On my way home from my parents house on the way back to my house in Pomona I was coming up to a intersection. I saw a cop making a left while I was making a right onto the same street. I was going the speed limit and everything but I still knew this cop was gonna pull me over. So the speed limit is 40mph, I go 38mph and hit the cruise control. So I come up to the next street and make a left towards the freeway, sure enough the cop follows me and pulls me over as soon as i'm done turning. So I pull over turn off engine, turn on interior lights and put my hands on the wheel. Cop comes over and asks for my drivers license. I give it to him then he asks for my registration, I pull it out and he asks me to step out of the car and put the registration on my drivers seat. I do it then he asks me to turn around w/ my hands behind my back. after I do that he takes my fingers and interlocks them and holds them together and asks if I got anything he should know about in my pockets. All I had was my cell, my wallet and two pens. So he takes everything out and sets it all on my roof. Gives me a quick flash light sobriety test. Then come out the handcuffs and he cuffs me and walks me over to his car and opens the back door. He says, "you know why i'm pulling you over?" At this point i'm not sure so I say no and he tells me while he was behind me he ran my plates and they weren't matching the vehicle. So he asks if I mind if he searchs my car. I tell him to go ahead and he puts me in the backseat. So he searchs my car and there's nothing in it and comes back w/ my info and whatnot. He sits in his front drivers seat typing some stuff up and asks if I had ever been arrest or on probation and blah blah blah.......So he's typing this stuff in and asks if the car is mine. I told him yeah, in fact I just payed it off. He says well.....and starts retyping in my license plate number while saying each number and letter out loud. He says,"3UG****." And I think about if for a quick minute and look over at my car and plainly see that my first number is a 4. So I look and him and he enters it and it doesn't come up matching my car.............. So I lean forward and tell him, "the first number is a 4......." He looks up and says, "Oh..." retypes everything and it comes up clean, gets out of the car and walks over and lets me put and uncuffs me. "I'm sorry about that I must of typed in the wrong number." (really................) So he apologizes again, compliments my car and says i'm free to go. Oh man that was embarassing......I had my hands cuffed and that sobriety test people looking at me as they pass by like i'm a ****ing murderer Man it was an interesting night........

I hate when that happens. Another reason to hate the pigs. A similar sitiuation happened to my ex mother in law except someone switch plates on her car and it was coming up stolen. Luckily that didn't happened to you. You would gone thru the hassle of getting new plates. At least the pig apologized, I'll give him that.

File a complaint. That’s a BS excuse....."entering the wrong number"????!!! BS. File a formal complaint. You don’t have to leave your name or any of your info. Cops get away with this type of behavior because everyone just shrugs it off. F&^k that! If a cop isn’t courteous to me I wont be to him. I treat and speak to you the same way to treat and speak to me. If that would have been me and he said oops I thought it was a 3.......(BS) I would have asked for his supervisor and made him take an eye exam the same way he made you take a sobriety test. BS! Sobriety test because he thought the 4 was a 3??? BS!!!!

thats ****ed up ****, I hope that never happens to me dude, first of all I have a roor in my trunk everywehere I go and my car is notgoing to be legal in the next month.. I bet you he did that just to check your car... thats so ****ed up thanks for posting this up what an *** that cop was... how could he miss the first number im telling you he did that just so he could search your car cuz he though you were a drug addict or drunk or something, but thats really ****ed up **** and the state should pay for that, that is so unfair...
