Fun course! I should now know!

I went out to the American Le Mans races at Laguna Seca today. I ended up entering my car in the car show that was there, but that was only because it was $40 to enter. I don't know what they were doing with the tickets, cause with entrance to the car show, i got two tickets to everything (show AND races). The website was listing tickets as such: Friday - $20, Saturday - $45, Sunday - $30, 2-Day (Sat/Sun) - $55 and 3-Day - $65.

Well, back to the point. I'm clad that I entered, even though my car is no where near competition standards, but after the show and all the awards were handed out, we were able to sign up for a Fan Lap around the course!


Yep! Got to take my OWN car out on the track. I had one of my friend's friends ride shotgun, so he was able to take a few pics, and a vid of my car going through the corkscrew! (4 turns, turns 7, 8, 8A, and 9)! It was fun! I was able to feel somewhat what the pros get when sliding out of the turns, only because i'm on stock shocks and springs, but my tires are in desperate need of rotation too

Talk about a fun day at the track. hanging out at a car show, watching cars go racing around you, and then taking your own car out on the track!

One of my friends was wanting to drift one corner, the last one before the home stretch, but a motorcycle cop was keeping an eye on him. he would keep flying by us and then just stop at few of the turns where it would have been possible oh well!

I'll keep the pics and vid on my camera card for the oct 22nd meet, in case anyone wants to try and see (even though it's a small screen)

well, it was sunny all day, and if you've been to Laguna Seca before, then you know there's very little shade!

Nice turn out of cars this year. No rice (exception of a few)... Your car was the SSM sedan right? I didnt see you nearby... I left at 1pm cause I got bored. Hoping to have new car by mid next year and hopefully show. Otherwise I'll show the rsx... Even though I know I will lose to Team Prestige of Salinas...

yeah, i wish that they would split catagories, seperate the teams and individuals...seeing how it's harder for individuals to get as much stuff as teams!!!

but yeah, i show'd up between 1130 and noon, and parked way down away from it all (other side of the puddle)...I mainly hung out with one of my friends who was actually showing his car. he had the Nissan Silva (240SX) w/ the flat black paint...We think he should have one for BEST JDM, over the civic hatch that had a bunch of aftermarket parts on...

yup, laguna seca is one of the most fun track to drive. fun but it aint easy, i was at there when they had moto gp, mang i dont know how those rider can ride that fast on that track

Yeah I remember seeing that car... Was nearby the STi's... Some nice looking DC2's as well... Did the two RSX's win anything??

my friend dana, (danka02) was working the tow trucks at the races. i was gonna go, but i had to goto the falken drift show cause i goto hangout with drift unit and 360 video, and got a job out of it. w00t
