The End Of Genseven
So as most of you have notices, activity on this forum has been very very slow. Since the first meet in may, there has hardly been any events. A lot of members have decided to quit for numerous reasons, and hardly anyone has responded to the request to fill the forms, or update the website.
It is apparent, that this team is not that much a team, rather then separate groups in separate areas being together. The Toronto group which is supposed to be the largest, has done nothing but disappointed, they are the least one to participate in anything (look at darknights).
The simple fact is that we are all hard working busy people, between school, work and families, we barley have any time. Socializing with your own friends in your area is challenging at times, imagine an Ontario wide team.
Just as many in the Ottawa region have already done, I am pulling out of genseven. I see no potential or promise, and I refuse to waste any more time trying to do something that just isnt working.
What I propose is each region form their own group under the banner 7thgencivic.com. and we can still meet up and do things as a big groups once in a while. But pretending we are a team, when we barely are is just not working.
I am sorry to disappoint some of you, let me know what u think of this matter

Hate to say it thought, but Ottawa crew came out to Toronto numerous times, and not one trip was made out to Ottawa. Same thing for those London guys who went to Toronto ... no plans made it off paper to head out to London .. due to "lack of interest" I'd still like to be aquainted with all of you, as most of you people are really cool to hang with but I'm dropping the Genseven thing. I just can't see myself making more trips out to Toronto ... especially with the gas prices being so high. I'll keep in touch.
cheers

Thats why nobody goes to Ottawa. I see your point but to drag every toronto member to Ottawa is well meh, Id rather drive and do a meet in Montreal than Ottawa. No offence that town is just boring, and id rather burn the extra tank to hit montreal. I came out to the meet in may and it was fun, good times (though it conflicted with some other plans so I had to leave early) to say this is "THE END OF GEN 7" isn't neccasary, if we can meet up a few times a year and just look at each others cars so be it. If we want to call ourselves a team why not? I mean were definatly not enemies.
Frankly I didnt like all this fill in forms, pay this fee, follow these rules if not then blah blah blah. I dont really go to car shows and find meeting up in parking lots just shooting the **** to be funner.
I like the whole concept of a team, and was even considering putting a G7 logo on my car so I dont look like another one of those "I drive a civic but have never been on this fourm" people.
Gen7 was a good idea, its not a hardcore enthusiast team, frankly id rather be a member of what it is now rather then what it was planned out to be. Besides that we should put some energy into doing some cooler stuff, G7 go-karting I would be in, renting a track is cheap when you have a group and that way we can drive like maniacs in a safer controlled enviroment without having to worry about cops.
Regardless we'll all be driving similar cars for the next bit, so G7 lives if you ask me
there was a thread in here a while back .. it was all about people not wanting to pay any fees, and people just not wanting to be part of it.. some members thought that this whole team thing was takin the fun out of it.. at least thats wat i got from it.. i wasnt tryin to be a **** or nething.. its just wat happened.
