Anyone want pix of their ride?
Hey all...
Just wondering if anyone is looking for someone to take pix of their car(s). I'm an intermediate photographer (far from newbie, but not quite pro) looking to expand my portfolio and do a little side business. I have a small portfolio that I'm working on right now, so I have some samples to show anyone who's interested.
I do have a small fee for doing a shoot. The fee will include photoshoot time as well as the cost of film. I will charge a little more for processing depending on how many rolls I shoot, and enlargements/framing will cost a little bit extra. I know that many of us are on a budget, so I will try to keep the cost to a minimum and shop wholesale on supplies as much as possible to further reduce the costs. Mind you though... I prefer to use a manual camera... not a digital... I find that my photos are cleaner and crisper that way. That's why I have some additional fees for processing and whatnot.
I'm still working on a price list, but if you're interested at all, let me know. Also, I respect the privacy of others, and if you want your license plates blurred, I will do that.
More details to follow, but if you're interested and/or have questions, post up! Or, as always, you can PM me or email me at norcali_crx_becca@yahoo.com.
Thanks!!

In order to stir up some business, I've decided to waive the shoot/film/developing fee for the first 6 car owners who are interested in having photos taken... provided that I can use the photos of their car (with license plates blurred) for promotional purposes with regard to launching my side business.
What that means is, the photos would be added to my portfolio and may be used on any advertising I might need to put out in order to get my business off the ground. No worries... I will only use the absolute best photos of your car for any promotional purposes.
If you are one of those 6 people, and you choose to have any enlargements done, or have your prints presented in an album, there will be small fees involved, but the shoot, 1 roll of film, and one set of standard prints will be completely free.
Also, moving shots may be available. I have to discuss the matter with a friend who does excellent action shots and has several years of experience shooting karting races at places like Infineon Raceway.
I will be providing more information as soon as I can... hopefully I'll have a listing of services and prices available by the end of this week.
If you're interested, please let me know.
Thank you!

Thanks for the interest and bumps, guys. I know winter (aka: the slow season) is usually the time when the most work goes into our cars, so just let me know when you're ready next spring. I'll still be here...
Side note... if when cruising around, make a mental note of places you might want your car photographed at. I'm going to have a good list of places, but you might find somewhere I haven't thought of yet... you know... somewhere a little more... you.

Actually winter is the time when our cars go into "hibernate", stock rims go back on, CAI's are taken off, etc.
Spring, aka tax return time, is when all my mods are going to be happening

I'm talking about a personal photoshoot with one or two cars by themselves in a better location than an aftermarket store's parking lot.

If you're really interested in having me photograph your car, let me know when you'll be free and we'll try and work something out.

So yeah, group shoots are okay, but for solo shoots I would like true solos... meaning apart from the group... it gives me a chance to produce really clean, presentable photos.

You know... that's a good idea and all, but a professional photographer should really obtain model releases (yes, even for a car) from owners prior to posting (private photoshoot) photos of their property in a public forum. It's a little legal issue that I can't really ignore. Snapshots of a group of cars at a meet (or a car show) are a little different... seeing as you're just taking random pix and not really focusing (in depth) on one or two vehicles.
Now, I CAN show people the pictures at, let's say, a 7thgen meet, as long as I'm not SELLING the pictures of other people's cars. So if you want to see the portfolio, I'll bring it to the next 7thgen meet... if anyone wants to arrange one here in the near future.
