Fogs from eBay?
Has anyone bought a set of fogs off of eBay recently?
There's several sellers selling Foglights, apparently with complete mounting and wiring kits (some w/ dash switches, some w/o) for under $10 +shipping!
Why the bargain basement prices? I've been looking for a set for my wife's '03 EX coupe, and can't pass this up (if they're legit).
Please reply with feedback if you have it.
Thanks,
Andy

several people have bought fogs from ebay the 01-03s and 04-05s...you just gotta becareful with some of them tho cuz they'll ship it and it gets broken cuz of crappy packing than they say "get a ups reciept saying it was broken" which can take weeks, than they'll send u new ones after that but they'll do anything to not sent u new ones but if u use paypal than u can prevent a hastle cuz if they screw around and u dont receive what is stated in the auction than paypal will give u ur money back...always take a screen shot of the auction webpage if u win the bid...just for buyer recourse if neccessary
i wouldnt purchase them. they are wayy hard to install cause of the wire harness. i bought them when they were like 50+ shipping now its like 10 + shipping becuase everyone knows they suck. I would say if you had the time to install these go buy em, but they are a pain cuz its not like oem. plus the switch they send is broken and they send the fogs in a buble envelope.

i bought the fog lights from ebay also.. installation is VERY expensive...
cost more than the fog lights itself...
i still have it in my room.. with the piaa light bulbs on.. don't know if i want it or not..

I thought there were more people that bought the ebay fogs and put lamin-x around the glass to protect it from debris on the road. There was a thread that showed what to look for when buying the fogs from ebay. They also listed specific seller names that sold crap ones and the good ones. . Just do some searching on here

Why most of the people here don't like the fogs from eBay? Sound like it is not because of the quality of the lights, but the problem of eBay. I didn't have any problem while getting mine from eBay. I had a very smooth transaction all the way. Installation was a lot more fun because that was the first time I took the most parts apart from my car. You just have to cut 2 openings on each end of the lower grill on your bumper.

Connect the wires to the fuse box, install the switch, and that's it!

BTW, I bought mine from eBay user: makotoautotrends. A+ seller!

install them right, dont get moisture or water inside the housing, and dont drive into bushes or animals or whatever other drivers are doing to break the lens (they're thicker than the window glass).

I bought ebay 'oem replicas' over 3 years ago, one of my first mods for $70 shipped i think. The only thing that's happened is that the plastic trim has fadded to a grayish color and the lens has tiny tiny chips from highway pebbles and what not. They light up the sides of the front of the car where the headlights dont reach much.
I <3 my foglights

I bought mine for my 04 from eBay as well and installed them myself. Seller was AutoSquare if I remember correctly. MakotoAutoTrends is a great seller as well as someone mentioned. My parts were in great condition and the only thing I had to do was extend the cables for the switch harness which was a little short.
That was my first electrical DIY and I didn't have any experience. You can use the OEM instructions to install them. I've had them on my car for a while now, they still work great.
Total price: $120 shipped.

I had my ebay fogs on for 6 months now with no laminx and I have no problems with any chips nor cracks. The light leveling mechanism shitted out though, but i fixed it myself with tapes inside. I paid $70 shipped for the fogs and $70 for the install. The switch that came with it was defective and the seller replaced a new one for me. The shope that sntalled it told me it was a pain in the *** to install because the harness were shitty. Once installed, the fogs work great! I also have 5800k bulbs in them.

those are $90, and they have no particular brand just like the ebay ones, but at least you can get a refund if they get broke during shipping.
But you'll always find the best deals on eBay. Most experienced bidders can sense a bad seller after a while.

Not too difficult. I could have finished it in an hour but I spent another hour taking off the front bumper to make sure the wiring ok. Cutting 2 good holes for your lights may take you most of the time.

it's all about common sense
they also wont fit if the car has an Aero kit

either you take the lip off and put on the foglights, or leave the lip on and have no foglights. plain and simple
