Ohio Members - Would You Consider a Ski Meet?
Calling all ohio members... Being as it is winter and all, clearly the best meet would be a ski meet! I don't know if you are familiar, but one of the more central Ski Resorts in ohio is Mad River Mountain, located on State Route 33, 40 or so miles northwest of Columbus.
For Columbus members, this would be ideal. I hold a season pass to Mad River Mountain, and am there nearly every weekend during the season. I am thinking February 16 or 23rd, probably 23rd would be best cause I'll be 21 then [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
Anyways, there is a HUGE parking lot where we could gather, and talk for an hour or so... then go ski, meet back at our cars before dark, chat some more, then we can ski more, or go hit JT's steakhouse or something in downtown Bellefontaine Ohio! (About 10 mins away from the resort, closest town with food/gas)
If you are apprehensive about the cost, I can assure you that your lift ticket and rentals will only run you about $40-50. If you are not interested in skiing, we could all just meet for a few hours and chat. I just think this would be a great way to get together, and do something fun besides car stuff.
I am also working on organizing a meet sometime for May of 02, perhaps in a parking lot in Columbus or Dublin area.
