Stockton why do you guys stay?
So i went to stockton on 8/27/05 and i saw alot of stuff that made me wonder why you guys live there. 1st there were people walking everywhere, and not for health. 2nd i saw 2 integras 1 rsx and an rx7 pulled over with cops taking pics of their engines. this was at 3pm not 2am so these guys were just drivin around getting pulled over because of the sound of their turbo. 3rd i went to my gf's brothers shop so he could do a strip of tint on my wind shield. while i was there a women came into the shop with those flashy girl magnet "PLAYER 69" jerseys askin us if we wanted to buy them. 4th mariachi music everywhere and very loud. 5th gas was cheaper in flag city than it is in stockton. 6th the *** blaster park. you know the one by the water front where all the kids are squating over the blasts of water coming out of the ground. 7th the largest 99 cent store ever with isles so thin you cant fit more than 1 cart at a time. all i wanted was some wrapping paper and it took 8 minutes because theyre tryin to smack down cosco.
all of this beside #3 and #6 happened in the so called nice part of town north of hammer lane

1. I wonder what area "north of hammer" you were in. The worst area that I know of, "north of hammer", is N. Kelley drive... not a good area. There are also some crummy areas around Cortez Park around Tam O Shanter. Most other areas north of Hammer are okay. I have no idea what you are talking about "people walking around", unless you are talking thugs....
2. I have never seen cops hating on ricers around here. I just saw a cop looking under the hood of a 6th gen with altezzas... that's the first time I saw them looking under the hood of any car.
3. I wonder just what kind of area you were in.... that's just ghetto. I live on North Kelley Drive and I don't see that kind of crap...
4. Mariachi Music is ghetto, but usually it's not everywhere.
5. I don't get gas often in Stockton, but if I do, it's reasonable.
6. I don't go downtown and don't know what you are talking about.
7. I don't go into 99 cent stores often.
Bottom Line: I live in Stockton because it's cheap. I live in a gated townhouse complex that is secure. Thugs in Stockton are only really bad down by charter, but I never go down there. I drive and have been all over Stockton, it's not a bad town. I have never experienced a lot of what you have... maybe you just went into an especially bad area of town. I have been pulled over by cops before, they were usually cool with me. I don't have a completely riced out car, either.
It's not that bad of a town, really. Even the wal-mart, which you would expect to be ghetto, is really clean and organized. Maybe you just had a bad experience........

wow a structured reply never expected that. rep to you. as far as what part i was in i dont know i just kind of turned where my gf told me to turn but all of this occured at her mom's and 2 cousins places. one of her cousins lives on the other side of i-5 another cousin lives about a 1/4-1/2 a mile east of i-5 and her mom lives over by the 99cent store which was responsible for the mariachi music. and by people just walking around what i meant was there were no stores around and they were just walking because they have nothing better to do.
stockton doesnt have much to do other then racing for me but whats sad about the races is if u take a 13 sec car out there u king so even then it gets boring to watch a bunch of 14 sec cars. And its not bad where i live but ^^ as he said theres good places and bad places like most other cities

^helicopters are always freaking flying everywhere.
I remember trying to go to a park at night when I had a GF that lived there, and there were always helicopters shining their lights down in the parks. WTF is up with that? It seemed like an awfully "suburban" area, not ghetto-thug...
And as far as AllMotor, there ARE things to do in Stockton. Everyone, in every city always says that there's nothing to do in their town. The fact is that there IS something to do, you are just used to your town and so you say that. When I was a teenager I said that about where I lived too, and every other teenager did also. Stockton is ghetto if you are in the bad parts, but the nice parts are nice. Bottom line is if you don't want to be messing with the ghetto thugs, avoid "mugging" the thugs when they drive up in their cars (you know their cars). This goes for every town.....

no that one was the best when i worked there. everyone besides me was a dealer pulling down 40k atleast without the job. so it wasnt like a bunch of bitter teenagers. eveything was scrubbed and super clean. i havent been there since i worked there but i know everyone who i worked with has since quit to become p.o's yes p.o's. i wonder if thomas the retard is still workin there?

I never had a problem with other people in Stockton (other than some dumb ricers). Cops are a different story...always harrassed me for some reason! I would still live there however, where I am at now is better!!!!
