I'm looking for an exhaust for my EX Coupe, I don't want something that blares, but I want something with gohanas...yunno? Does anyone have any sugggestions on what the best muffler or muffler/piping combo would be the best for a good mellow note, and not a vibrating blatty noise. Any info is greatly apreciated.

My biggest fear is buying a exhaust and finding out it sounds like rice. I'm personally looking for something with a low deep rumble sound not a cherry bomber.

I would really like to hear some exhaust sound clips. Any clips that you guys have, could you post them plz. The one I must hear is the tanabe RM exhaust. I'm going to order it, because I know it performs extremely well, but I dont know how it sounds. Of course I've heard this or that, but I've gotta hear it. Any other exhaust notes would be nice too...and YES, I've been here long enough to know how to search, but there are only a few if that many on this board.

Yeah thats what I'm affraid of too! I don't want to get a exhaust that sounds like spiderspiderspider ! I have heard a few Arospeed mufflers and they actually sound pretty good. I'm still depating whether to get a custom 2.25 piping with muffler or just fork out the extra $$ and get a catback ..

Really. I'll have to check that out. I've heard the DC exhaust is geat too. The TCS if that was what it was called.

Custom exhaust can be made. If you dont want it sounding like a ricer you could aways go flowmaster...but then you will sound like a v6, unless u get the higher series, then you will sound like a nice v8. Just go to your local muffler shop they will be glad to tell you what you can get on your car and what it will sound like. Just buy the tip you like and take it to them if you dont like the tips they have. Hope this helps.

I got my skunk2 exhaust put on last week. It sounds tight!!!! Pretty damn loud, not too ricey.

get 2.25" piping from the cat, to the muffler of your choice (lots to choose from....greddy, hp racing, arospeed, apexi, borla, etc.)

The best type of pipping that you can put on your car is 2.25 mandrel bending, it flows your exaust fumes better, it is suppost to spit out like 2 times more exaust than regular custom exaust, you should do your own research...

I agree with whoever likes the Tanabe RM exhaust. I know in the past they have performed well on many DOHC civics(eg CTR and SI), just wondering if they are as good for our SOHC models. If anyone has feedback for me before I order one, please let me know. Also, has anyone tried the TCS from DC?
