how the F@#k do i get this off

im trying to take the piece that goes around my instrument panel off. the plasic ring so i can paint it. it has the 2 screws that are on the top. i cant get it to come out. are there other scews im not seeing? i know this is prolly easy but u know how ppl can be

I was foolin with mine one day, and couldn't get it off either. In the DIY, it says just the 2 screws, and pull it off. Beats me. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't help you out more.

the two screws on the bottom and i used a knife to pop the top of it off,,,if u try this dont be affraid of breaking it...it will just pop off

I just took out the two screws on the bottom then pulled like crazy from the top and it came off with no damage.

Yeah I attempted to take it off once. I unscrewed the top screws, and pulled like a mad man but it didn't come out. I was afraid that if I pulled any harder, that it would break. But now I see that it's normal that it should feel that way. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks for the comments!

just undo the top two screws. wedge your hands into the top and the sides, and give it a good, hard pull. It will get easier after you see how much force to use. I pulled the crap out of mine, and I thought for sure it was going to break, but it didn't. It's pretty flexible. good luck, pull it hard, and don't be a wus.
