Coming Soon: DIY for painting M3 mirrors.
I just went to paintscratch.com and ordered my can of custom paint to match my car. I have my 600 grit paper, rustoleum clear coat, and other supplies. I will post pics of the whole process and get a DIY up for everyone real soon. Just need to get the paint in, then come the wheels! woohoo!!!
I just burnt my tongue

i just go to my shop and use a real spray gun with colormatched auto paint and some nice clearcoat by sickens or house of kolor...heh but no everyone has recources...wonder how it will turn out
Well my buddy told me about the site and I got to see the work he did on his girl's grille. It matched so perfectly, he used Rustoleum clear coat instead of the stuff on the site because of the humidity and he said the Rustoleum works a bit better. Tonight I am taking off the mirrors and sanding them down. I get those pics and put everything together once its done.

^^^ I have one of those. They work pretty well if you need to cover a larger area. Easier to grip. Just pick it up from your local hardware or paint store. No need to ship.
Update:
The mirrors are sanded and ready for paint, the 600 wet sand worked great. I will be using a silver colored primer for the insides of the mirrors. If you click the link below it will take you to the post of how to take apart your mirrors for painting so you wont have to tape anything. I also got some rustoleum rust covering and sanded down the metal plate behind the mirror and plastic rotor, then painted it over, That will also get a coat of silver primer just so it looks decent behind the mirror.
P.S.-paint is shipped and heading my way!
End of month you will see this car with wheels to.
