just picked up boosted si (218hp)
just picked up boosted si (218hp)
So yeah, my roommates friend lives in Tucson and this chicks car has been sitting at this shop in Mesa for coming on a lilttle over 6 months now. They fabricated a new turbo kit for this car, all custom and complete from scratch, that is why it took so damn long. The turbo is capable of pushing out 550hp, not sure how much boost, but a fuken lot. The turbo alone on the website retail is $3,500 just for the turbo, AEM stand alone fuel system or something which was like $1,500 just for that thing, either way the chick kinda got ripped off, but in the end it may have paid off. She paid this guy $6,000 for her car to sit at this shop for 6 months while they fabricate a turbo system for her car, which they did but it took a very long time and she was without her ride. Lastnight she picked it up and let my roommate and I take it for a joyride after we finished eating. Granted in that little SI the thing hauled ***. The rev limiter is set to 9,000rpm which is badass so I told chad to punch it up to 9,000 to hear it scream, man yeah it hauled. He couldnt even hold the steering wheel because it was spinning the wheels all the way through, we made it up to 3rd gear and the wheels were still spinning like we were in 1st gear, we didn't hit 4th cuz we were on a residential street, either way the thing would have kept spinning through all gears i'm guessing.
I guess my final outcome of the car is it is a nice install, thing defnately has a butload of power, it's running 4lbs of boost right now is all and it dyno'd at 218hp at the wheels, can definately feel the power. This chick should be back up into the valley next month to get her car looked at again while she drives on it for a bit, she is gana let me take it for a spin than. Oh yeah, since it has a stage 3 race clutch, my roommate said it was harder than hell to drive haha. Anwyas click the link below for more detail from the site and some pics of the car.

how did she wreck the car the first time..then why did she put millano red core support and fenders on and then only paint the fenders when they were on the car...then spend 6k for a turbo kit that will retail for 4500?
sounds like a dumb **** to me.
