That's Mirage. He's actually a member here.
That's a purpose-built car. It's not street legal. It was a B16 that was destroked to 1.5L and is used to compete on the salt flats. Also, if I recall correctly, it's actually set and broke speed records ...

Dam that was cool. i would love to install a b16 or a b18 in my civic. but that sounds like a pain in the *** to fab everything. i wonder if its cheaper then doing a k. or abou tthe same. ::Shrug::

Secondly, as you read, it's a total PITA. You're just better off doing a K-series swap.

i know its not legal. but i wonder if its less then doing a k swap. cause you can make a b-seris just as fast as a k.

My friends B18/B16head I believe went over 190. Right around 200mph as he blew the motor. Is that any sort of record? I doubt it. He had it all on vid though, so its definatly not BS. Plus I got to inspect his friend pistons, lol.
That car is sick though^^ I remember him posting that a while ago.

Last i heard, he was redoing the fuel system to run on alcohol and was suppose to have article in some mag too. He hasn't posted in awhile.
this was actually a repost.. i posted pics of this car last year which was at the sema car show and i had videos to go along with it though.. but still nice to see it again..
TAZ757... a B16 ia already a 1.6L so why would he storke it to 1.5L. i think you mean he stroked it to a 1.8L i think it was if i remember correctly...
for the nebies out there wondering
B16 = 1.6L
B17 = 1.7L
B18 = 1.8L
B20 = 2.0L
D16 = 1.6L
D17 = 1.7L
K20 = 2.0L
K24 = 2.4L
notice a trend going on.. the letter represents the engine code while the number represents the Liters.

And I know how the engine codes work ...
