HELP with my B&G S3 Coilovers!!!

if anyone has these i need your help!

i just recieved my coilovers in the mail today (brand new). my question is this: when i opened the box, the coilovers were not assembled. is this normal? also, my coilovers did not come with the top mounts for the front OR the back. did you have to pay extra for this? and i know the B&Gs has dual springs on the pearch, one big and one small. which one went on the bottom and which one went on the top? thanks for you help.

Yes, it is normal for them to come unassembed
You have to reuse your stock mounts.
I highly suggest calling B&G for instructions. If something goes wrong, you have a record that you had spoken with them. Trust me, it's worth it. Make sure you get the name of who you spoke with and have them start a record for you.

omg thank you so much for your help. i was totally freaking out because i brought them off ebay from a vendor (not private) and i was feeling i got ripped off. so i really have to reuse my stock mounts? i was hoping i could leave those alone for when i put everything back to stock. i was hoping that everything would come preassembled. my hayame V2s came all set to go so i was confused.

one more question. since the B&G S3 coilovers use a dual spring on the pearch, which spring goes on the top/bottom. the small on the bottom? i'm asking because i hear people saying that the smaller spring goes on the bottom, but it wont fit (it also came in the box with the larger spring on the bottom and the smaller one on top). also, how much would it cost to get the top mounts put on and the spring compressed onto the pearch?

thanks alot

You can order new mounts from Honda if you don't want to swap out your stock ones. Hayames, D2, Tein SS-P, JIC come with upper mounts, B&G and Tein basics/ss do not.

But again, call B&G and ask them. They usually can mail you PDF instructions.

He said new....

put it this way. It isn't ABNORMAL if they come unassembled. Some may come assembled some may not. I have heard of teins coming assembled and others not. Besides it is hard to assemble soemthing without a top mount. I wouldn't worry about it.

I sent you a PM!

So how are the Coilovers?

Have you got them installed yet?

Did it come with everything that it was suppose to come with from the factory?

For all those with B&G's... what are the stamped numbers on your springs?!?!

Please list them for both front and back. Just the big springs, not the helper springs.

Thank you!

No, I don't need the spring rates. I just got the Coilovers... but for some reason, the numbers on the springs don't match.

The numbers aren't in the exact order, but they're all there.

Could someone post the numbers for all the big springs, so I can verify?

Thanks!!!

Bump... anyone?

I called B&G and they said the springs are okay, however, I'm not too convinced.
