I have an '02 ssm EX coupe and I am struggling on which wheels and tires to buy. I had decided to buy 19" Katana Inspires (chrome) with 225/35/19 tires from Motek Wheels, but then decided that maybe 19s weren't the way to go for me, seeing as I am going to be driving to and from college the next 4 years and tires are so expensive.

I live out in the country and must travel 2 miles to any paved road no matter what. I have heard that chrome is not very durable, and will start to chip and peel from the sand spraying on the back wheels. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Currently I am thinking about getting 18" RH Evo C5s in silver (painted) with the polished lip. Would these be more durable than chrome or another finish?

I am fairly new to these forums (been reading a few weeks, just registered), so I have a lot of redundant questions I'm sure, but I really appreciate any information you guys could give me.

....NO CHROME. it'll get so dirty on the dirt/gravel and it's a biznitch to clean. You'll literally be cleaning these every single day to keep em looking even decent.
