K20 w/ Supercharger
Would a k20 with a Jackson racing SC fit in our engine bays...?
I'm a fan of SC's... no turbo lag, no spooling up, etc. But there are no SC's for the D17, so then I was thinking... Jackson makes them for the k20, and there are k20 swaps for the 7thgen.
So, the question again: Would that fit in our cars? Because that would be a pretty frickin' cool thing to see, albiet incredibly expensive...
Powerful too.
Just wondering your thoughts on it.

02-05 si SC is the same as the RSX-S one... but it's turned differently to fit inside the bay of the SI
i *plan* to do this, but **** keeps happening. 3k for charger, would need a clutch probably not too far down the line, plus my tires are shot, this gets expensive. and i don't have to add in swap costs even...

I know supercharger is better then what i am about to say but what about a 75 shot on the k20a2 with i/h/e. Plenty of people run 13's with that setup. I do know of someone who ran a 100 shot with mods on his rsx-s and with slicks ran a 12.1. So far no engine problems. Plus with the comptech stg1 kit u will get like a lil over 230 maybe (what a guy on clubrsx got) which is imo a waste of money because i/h/e and 75 with tuning should get u around that also. Now if u went with the jackson race kit or comptech race kit and which i think those kits boost around 9-12????? That would make sense. Plus when u do get bored of the sc then u can get ips fi cams and do some more internals and maybe a lil 50 or 75 shot. But if i were u i would go for it. No one has done it yet on a 7thgen so u would be the first.
I went to prison a boy and came out a man with a sore ass!

jacksons k20xx SC is 5psi. race or street. they sell a 7psi kit w/ injectors though. and bigger injectors can allow you to run a 9psi pulley. the SC won't put out more than 11-12psi, as people are finding out, if you run massive injectors and k-pro on a small crank pulley
comptech is NOT going to fit in a 7thgen w/out mucho work, they don't have one for the ep3 that i've seen.

if you get a si one it should and will fit... remember anything will fit with enough money... i have learn that the hard way...lol... never think anything is impossible....
but remember with a supercharger, it take hp to make hp... so a supercharged k20 will never be as fast as a turboed k20

SC's are power adders, but they are really much better for a daily driver than a turbo. Turbos are better at the strip/track than SC.
It's all give & take, really....
The Answer: Hasport's Monster Hybrid
Coincidentally, just tonight I was reading in Super Street, August issue, about Brian Gillespie's latest creation -- a K24 - K20A2 hybrid swap into a CRX with jackson racing supercharger which produces 243.7 hp and 213.6 lb-ft. Brian (who I think has posted in this forum) says he can easily up those figures with more tuning. Two Japanese pro-drivers tested and were amazed at how quick and fun the light weight vehicle drove, almost scary. I'm a noob but if a bigger block K24 with supercharger can be shoehorned into a CRX, wouldn't a K20 fit in our 7thgen bays? Opps, just recalled Brian had to cut a huge hole in the CRX hood for the SC to fit; it kinda looks wierd sticking out of the hood. Oh well, just thought you'd all be interested in this article.
