what brands do you all recommend?
and how often do YOU change your filter?

I've got 20k on mine and it doesn't look horrid or anything, but during the hot summer months you start looking for all the power you can get.

If you're going to keep the stock airbox, get a K&N and then you dont have to worry about changing it anymore. That's what I would do if I didn't have an intake setup already.

ok if it looks dusty and you touch it and dust comes poppin out then you need a new one. on the other hand the k&n is reusable but its like 40 bucks. so i spent like 10 on a new filter when i needed one. just check it every oil change. you should be fine.

i use a NAPA (Gold Series) air-filter in the stock airbox
