need help findin a way to run exhaust with cat
hey i got a 05 civic lx coupe and im tryna do and exhaust setup wit straight 2.50 pipes or 2.25 but the catalytic converter is built on to the top of the header and im tryna find someway to get after market headers on there with a cat so i can pass emissions when the time comes....... any ideas
it took me under 30 minutes to put my stock exhaust manifold back on. so i would say just run it like a true ricer that couldnt pass smog. then when you go to get it done put the stock back on.
i believe the only carb emission legal header in the states is the DC header which is for the ex only.
a vehicle with no cat converter = would never pass smog/emissions. so i doubt even if you did the EX exhaust swap (ex header/exhaust/etc), you still wouldnt pass smog. it'd be just straight pipes basically to the muffler.
do it as this man said^ run it illegal til the day you have to put stock **** back in. cant be that hard
