is tenzo-R a replica rim company?

they do seem to bite the volk styles a little bit...but i thought rims like the passion 5 were their design.

is tenzo-r a respectable rim comany? or do they make cheap knock-offs?

I think they make the knock offs but they are a good company. Also some of their designs were their own.

idk, but i do know that there are companies that make replicas of tenzo-r's line up (R1/velox?/speedy). if they are, then i guess these companies make replicas of replicas haha.

they are definitely quality rims. so many different companies borrow designs/styles from each other these days that its hard to really know who is knocking off and who is the original...but some of the tenzo-r designs (like the passions) i really have not seen anywhere else. maybe the general concept could be from a ferrari rim, but really...thats not really a knock off but just a style cue.

anyway...ive had the passions and loved them!

I have 17" Passion 5's and I love the rims. I've only had them for 3 months, but they look just like the day I bought them, and I get compliments all the time. Plus they weren't that expensive considering the price of most rims today...

TenzoR Passion5s in white with optional blue center cap.

They're strong as hell. Unfourtanetly, I've managed to bend the lips on to of my wheels. Not bad. They still hold air, but it's ugly. I really need to find a shop to fix them and the curb rash sometime this winter. You can't buy the white wheels any more.

okkkk errbody

heres how wheels r made

maylasia=cast wheels... made in random companies..
brand such as TSW/AXis/etc, pay MORE for their wheels so, therefore the companies do not produce the wheels under "other" names (thats why these wheels are more prestigue, because other brands cannot make an EXACT replica.
ALL maylasian wheels are the SAME quality,(as a whole..) BUT those such as TSW/AXIS/ect, are more prestigue cause they pay more so other brands dont have same wheels

EXAMPLE Gracing-SEKI/ Rev-model2/ Arospeed-CHAOS = SAME EXACT wheel, just the company puts different center caps on them =diff brands

JAPAN companies, own their own factories.. therefore the molds are not sold to other companies and made as other rims (no EXACT replicas)and they take pride in making their wheels.. some of the highest regarded wheels are made in JAPAN

USA is a land of opportunity, therefore some brands such as intro/boyd coddington/jesse james.. make 3 peice wheels (hoops (lips)are purchased from a 3rd company and they simply CNC middles and make the wheels
other USA brands just make billet wheels.(cragar/etc). these wheels are nice but then again some are crap(american eagle/american racing)

Otherbrand are made.. in europe mostly.. but these if 3 peice are top quality (hoops bought from a 3rd company, and they just make the insides "CNC'in" out of forged metal... some of the others are forged monoblock (1 peice)etc etc

in a nut shell:

cast wheels are all same quality except for axis/tsw/other brands that own their "molds"

forged japan wheels=top quality

Forged USA=same quality(all 3 peice makers buy their hoops(lips) from a bigger company and just make the middles..
