Some INTERESTING new HKS goodies
For those looking to defy the limits of the D17, HKS is helping with these interesting items.
Speed Limit Defencer:
The HKS SLD is an electronic device designed to eliminate a vehicle’s factory speed limiter. When competing on the drag strip or a circuit track, the factory speed limiter can hinder a vehicle’s performance. The HKS SLD is available in two versions: Type-1 is generally for vehicles equipped with a manual transmission and Type-2 is generally for vehicles with automatic transmissions.

HKS Fan Controller:
The HKS Fan Controller has been developed to control factory or aftermarket electronic cooling fans. This unit can control one fan at two speeds or two fans at one speed, and can set the fan(s) to turn on or off at preset temperatures. The back-lit digital display provides real time water temperature (in Celsius or Fahrenheit) using the factory water temperature sensor. A peak hold function memorizes and displays the max temperature value.
The Fan Controller also features a water temperature warning function. If the preset temperature is exceeded the Fan Controller will make an audible alert and the back-lit digital display will blink. The rate of the blinking tells the user if the water temperature is raising or falling. On selected turbocharged vehicles the Fan Controller can also control the intercooler water spray function.

LOL, these have been out for so long, yet people have never heard of them. I love those people who make threads like, how can I get past my electronic govoner. I always say, HKS's SLD... well now here is the chance for people to see magic happen. A bump for my friend D, and for his amazing product lineup.
Edit: After reading that it sounds REALLY gay lol

How fast, faster than 110 is all I can tell you. I do not have utter specifics of it on the D17.

In all honesty, if wired correctly, I do not see why it would not work. It is just a simple signal diverter or voltage sensor clamp of sorts.

Seriosuly, the wiring will do the trick LOL, tell your buddy to get off his lazy ***, then buy it. If it dosent work thats why the invented ebay =)
Doesn't work
I followed the instructions and left the switches like they were just how it suggests for the d17a and cut the green/white speed sensor and put the correct wires on there and i connected the power/ground wires and it didnt work. The car started up and then just stalled. Do you know what the blue wire is for? It doesnt say what to do with that.
