had to use brake pads for a 2000 on my car?
had to use brake pads for a 2000 on my car?
So I went to autozone and bought brake pads for my civic (2002) had a bitch of a time getting them installed.... had to remove all shims and use a mallot to get the callipers over top of them.... they were huge... car didn't move when i floored it. after a ton of nonsense, took em back and they told me that i had to use brake pads for the 2000 civic because i have drums in the rear, and they couldn't find an instance in there computer that honda manufactured civics with anything other than rear disk for the 02. Does that sound odd to anyone else other than me?

si has discs, but then again i have seen some of the tards that autozone hires. go anywhere better than those places, or tell them you have an 01 civic (no Si that year, maybe that was the goof they made)

All the Honda calipers on a given size rotor use the same pad.
The spacing on the bracket is different but any car with a 10.2" front rotor has the same pads. Older lower model (CX, VX, DX) Civics had 9.5" fronts, but they wouldnt fit anyways.
RSX-S shares with the old TL and S2K (11.8" front), etc....
The only non Si that had disc rears was the 93-95 EX. When you put the new pads on, did you push the piston back in? That's usually a reason for them being tight, and you having to pound the caliper back on. If you got them in the caliper, they're the right ones.
Oh... and the EP3 Si uses the same pads as the rest of the Civics
