if you were gonna quit your job, would you rip it off?
me and my coworkers were sitting around (and not working
) and talking about what we would all do when we quit. i work in the photo/electonics dept. so i was joking and said when i quit i would rip off hella stuff digi cams, cd players, etc.. and apparently they had the same thing in mind, lol. i think i could get away with it too (except for posting a thread about on the internet), i've worked there for 4 years, i know when undercover security is gonna be there, i know where the security camera is, the view the camera can see and i know how to turn off the security VCR so it wouldnt be recording. so maybe when the day comes i'll think about but i'm a nerd so i doubt i would do it, lol but would you? if you knew the stuff i know about your job, would you steal from it, assuming it has stuff you would want?
and i'm not talking about pens or crap like that, lol.

No
I wouldn't steal anything from a job. Theft can be traced and could possibly lead to jailtime.
but mess something up? Hell yeah
when I quit my last job at the Howard Johnson I messed with the electronic sign outside, put up all kinda crazy ****. You mighta seen it on collegehumor.com or on here

Naw. No point in that. I don't believe in burning bridges, and I'd like to use uncompromised people at my former place of employment as references... even if I could get away scott-free. I want to have a clean reputation
i wouldnt.
im not living a suffering life right now (besides buttloads of tickets and other bs). but i would only do it if it benefits my family and me. if we could survive without doing it, then i wouldnt even think about it.

no... worked at radioshack last job and that is too obvious.
^^^ plus you sign a waiver saying if they suspect something they can search your house. i could maybe get by on technicallity since i live in my parents house but i respect my old boss and her boss too. they treated me with respect so I happily gave it back!
now work with ymca watching kids so nothing to steal but vanilla wafers and generic froot loops; which i eat all the time anyway!

i as well work in a one hour photo/electronics/video rental place me and this kid i work with talk about it all the time. quietly to ourselves of course. were like "yeah if were ever gonna get fired or want to quit were just gonna rent out hella movies to everybody and leave them on the shelf so when people come in to get movies they have 3 movies rented out that they've never heard of and 63 dollars in late fee's for movies they never rented. then we can load i-pods, psp's, video games, mp3's digi cams, all kinda **** into a garbage bag and throw it in a cart with the rest of the garbage for that night. and when we go to throw all the stuff into the dumpster at the end of the night. shazam its all in the back seat of my car. they cant blame us either cuz we were busy developing pictures.
or when one of us is closing the other could in a corner of the store and wait for everyone else to go home and at like 11:00 (we close at 10) unlock the door and bring out 3 bags of stuff to a waiting car.
but just like everything else. we'll talk about it forever but it'll never happen.

judging by the first post... I can easily guess you work at sams club, or wal-mart.
Anyways, no. I wouldn't rip them off... that wouldn't allow me to get re-hired if I wanted to.

i had the perfect situation: a manager who was leaving in a couple 'o months (moving to europe). now, i was suspicious she was taking stuff here and there, so i'm sure the owners were too...well, everything we did pretty much got blamed on her, and she's in switzerland and they can't do anything about it.

you could rehired for stealing, probably at a different store though but your past manager cant tell them what you got fired for, they can only tell them just that you got fired.

My first job was Mrs Fields cookies. I gave away about 150 worth of cookies a night. But thats cuz the owner said, first rule, "Dont charge friends and family" haha. He was not a good businessman. Thats the very first thing he taught me my first day, hehe. When he sold the cookie shop to his ******* brother, I was giving away more, and stealnig about 250 a night. I probably took a good 5-6000 in cash from there, hehe shhhhh!. I was 15 though, and now am 22.
My parents also owned this telemarketing company that rips people off. My dad sold his share within the last year, cuz the business was gonna get shut down. They sell a 2.00 trash bag roll for 55.95. It has gone up 2 times in price the last year, haha. I used to steal trash bags, fire extinguishers, towels, mf towels, polishing cloths, all purpose cleaner, citrus cleaner, light bulbs, ziplock baggies, wind chimes at christmas time, hehe. I would take so much crap. they didnt care though, they were ripping people off so bad anyways in their "non-profit organization" haha, my *** non profit.
this is why my dad got out of it, they are bs.
I would not steal from your job. My friend worked at walmart, and used to steal from there and return the **** to other stores. he went to jail, was on probation, and is now banned from every walmart for life, haha. The banned part is hilarious, I always make fun of him for that. He works at target now in electronics. He doesnt steal from there.
