koni rear struts/springs PROBLEMS

So I just installed koni struts and Sportlines all around this past week. The fronts went very well, and look and work perfect. The rears are a different story, however. The springs pop like no one's business, which I think is because I forgot to reinstall one of the 2 bushings that are in each strut (I thought only one came out when I took them apart, so I only put one back in). This sounds like an easy fix. However, the struts feel like they are blown. I've never felt a blown strut before, but when I push down on the rear of the car, it bounces back up past resting point, then back down again, while when I do this to the front it just returns to normal after the push. Except for the bushing, I'm pretty damn sure that I did everything right on the rear. I take it to get aligned this evening, perhaps tomorrow morning, and I'd really like to not touch it after they do the alignment. Thanks.

another thing; my rear bump stops look nothing like the bump stops from the Koni installation guide (the DIY link on here). I'm not sure if they'll fit on there or not, so should they be installed on the new Konis? I'm going to take my rears back off tonight to install the bushing, so I want to be sure everything's right.

The yellowish bumpstop should fit right over the shock piston. You want this installed or you might blow them if they bottom out. Check out this post here:

good news! Took them all apart, put that bushing back in and also the bumpstop. Noise is completely gone. Also, the bounciness in the rear springs is gone also. My car sticks to the road like glue now; its great. Thanks for the link, that diagram helped greatly.

ok guys i have the front and rear konis and right now they are just installed in the front! Well the last day or so a allen head bolt that holds the shock i belive came loose. I was just driving home from the gym and it started making weird noise when i hit little bumps. SO I had a shop look at it and they told me that the stock struts have been cut to make room for the shocks or springs ? But they only checked the passenger side which is not having any problems at all, just the driver side door? So cut up struts is that ok? I have nuespeed sports springs and koni shocks . Also the firned that put them on told me he couldnt figure out the back ones ? Do i need to buy some aftermarkets struts? thx

Also I dont have the rear shocks on at all and the ride is great. But the rear sits hella higher than the front .... Will this be fixed when I put on my rear shocks.... I have had the springs and shocks on the front for about 4 months or so......

The front oem strut have to be cut in order for the Koni inserts to be installed. For the rear, theyre a direct replacement. Here's the instructions for the rears:
