I think someone posted this before or something very similar. Some of the stuff they put is just stupid. Playing tag with my car? Hell no. I'd cry if I get another dent. But I guess they're just watching their asses. My 2 pesos.

The article is dumb. Geico is trying to imply street racing accidents are costing them so much money, when there making billions of dollars a yr. They try to make it seem like there concerned about teenage drives when it seems to me there just trying to find excuses to raise rates. Increases in insurance rates have far outpaced inflation.
I agree people who commit insurance fraud should be punished but i can somewhat understand it. The insurance company screws you, you want to screw them back when you have a chance. It's BS when your insurance is higher then your car payments.

Then I checked with Progessive Auto Insurance they gave me:
Your 6 month policy premium
Pay in full - $4,757.00 (includes pay in full discount)
Start a policy today for $882.51
I thought Geico was suppose to have the best rates out there?

Rep Power: 272 I have never once had any problems with my insurance company. Geico's quote for the exact service I have now was around $5,000 a year. I currently pay somewhere between $600 and $700 every 6 months.

So, more stickers = higher rates. Huge wings = higher rates. Neons = higher rates. Maybe that is a good move. Maybe that is a good thing. Maybe that will keeps those "sins against cars" off of the street. I'm not saying that all cars with stickers, huge wings, and neons look bad. But for every car that I've seen it applied in a stylish way, I've seen 10 cars that have done in it a matter that is so horrible that my eyes begin to bleed and I burst into flames. I can't take much more of that. I'm sick of being blind and in the burn unit at my hospital.

I have paid the insurance co approximately $20,000 since I got my license and I have never had a claim. I haven't had a moving violation in 6 years and never had a wreck. They're still charging me $600 for a 6 month policy on a f*cking civic.

I'm 41, been driving 23 years clean. And I have to pay $1800 a year. And that's a GOOD rate in LA. Quit yer whining. My brother is getting raped for 9k a year on his 04 accord.

I pay $900 for 6 months and my car is insured for everything, right down to full replacement of the car with a brand new civic if it was ever stolen.
