What would be the best set up for me?

Hey guys, I've come to the point now where I wanna drop the car. Before you say search, I have, for about two weeks now...so heres the conclusions I've come to.

First off, I dont plan on Auto-xing the car so if that helps in the decision then, there ya go...

Second, I dont want a huge drop (a little under 2" at the MOST)

Third, if possible I'd like to get the ride a little smoother than stock (like I said I know it might not work, but if it would be that'd be great)

so heres the plans that I thought of:

1) Eibach Sportlines with either Koni Yellows or Tokicko (sp?) Blues

2) Tein Basic Coilovers

Both have their ups and downs...

I like that I could adjust the ride height with the coilovers (I could slam it for pics). But I also think that the springs with shocks might be a little cheaper (a big factor, cause I'm only 18 and dont have a ton of money to waste).

Which do you guys think would be the best route to take? Any input is greatly appreciated...

Either one is fine. Remember changing the height of the car changes camber and toe, meaning that you will need an alignment after most changes. You can't slam the teins. They don't go down that far. Some people like the "set it and forget it" way of lowering with springs and shocks. Again either one is fine. Just pick something. You can debate for months but when it comes down to it, you have to choose.

speaking of camber adjustment...if I were to get a camber kit (which I plan on in a month or two) does that mean that I never have to get my tires aligned again?

Do you have any comment on which ride might be smoother? or cheaper?

Comments I have

I have been in a civic with Tein SS and liked it.

Tokicos will be easier to swap in and will be more comfortable and cheaper than Konis. If you don't want dampening adjustment then stick with tokico's.

Tein Basics new - about $8-900
Camber kits - $140

Eibachs - $170
Tokicos - $450
Camber kits - $140

Basically about the same price.

Alignments don't just "stay." Any time you hit a pot hole or turn real hard, etc, alignments move. Even non-modded cars should have an alignment once a year for maintenance. AFter lower, wait a week (or until you have the height set if you get coils), then get an alignment. AFter that, then once a year or once every two years is a good plan.
