Insurance is paying for my body kit!!!
Last Monday, 011402, i got rear-ended by an explorer. had my back bumper damages estimated and honda estimated it to be around $1300 to get it fixed. now what i'm gonna do is have the insurance (the liable insurance not mine) to give me the check and i'll order somewhere either an octane kit or kaminari kit and have Honda install and paint it too. Now i was just wondering, how much would i have to spend on getting it painted (the whole 4 piece kit). Installation is not a prob(i think i can do it). What r some precautions when buying kits online and from a store/person? Please educate me.
F'uck, dude. I just hit a deer, and it wasn't my fault. The estimated damage for my car is well over enough cash for me to get the body kit I want along with the cost of other repairs (Kaminari for me, too... everything except that ugly hood). I wish I could do that.
All I can tell you is that I'm not sure that's enough cash to do it. I think painting full body kits can amount up to $1,000. (I think!) The Kaminari body kit is like $650-$700. Painting is usually more expensive than the kit, so I hope someone else can come up with a more detailed explaination. Does anyone here even have the Kaminari body kit? I've seen someone with an unpainted wing but that doesn't count...

hey, i was in the same situation your in. I got a check from the other persons insurance company after getting 5 estimates to fix the damage. Then sent all of those to the other persons insurance and got my check for 2800 bucks. Dont install the kit by your self, some of it is pretty tricky so just leave it to the professionals. Painting the kit will cost atleast 900-1000 dollars if you want a good clean job. bottom line.. let the pros do it all!

Hum... I had a front accident and they painted the bumper and fixed everything for $2000. That included a whole lot more than just painbt though. I think the price you're thinking of for painting those pieces is fair.
Okay... I've got $4Gs worth of damage done to my Civic. If I calculated how much it would cost to repair the stuff under the hood, the headlights, the door, the hood (everything except the front bumper) could I possibly use the money that's left to fix the exterior to get a body kit if I have enough? I'll have to check to see on the papers how much it would be... (this might take some time...)
the only problem is when you buy stuff off the internet is shipping. Shipping is about another 100.00 right off the bat then around here i asked a shop to put on and paint my oem spoiler 300.00 right there for only 1 spoiler. Your asking for 4 diffrent parts i would say about a grand to like every1 else is saying
