Dead car...
Hey all...havent posted in a way long time, but now I have a problem. My car was broken into last weekend and the WHOLE center panel was stolen (the stereo, vents, air conditioner **** thingys). That WHOLE damn piece. They couldnt just take the piece of **** radio...Anyways, I took my car to Honda, told me it was gonna cost about $1500 to fix everything. Any ideas where I can get the stuff cheaper??? AND wheres a good place to get a different alarm installed (not the cheap stock Honda alarm that apparently is soooo easy to bypass) that will annoy the **** out of people if anyone ever tries to mess with my car again.
Im sooo pissed. Im like <-----> this close to selling my civic. Ive had so many problems with it. I guess it hates me.
I just want my car to work!!!Help guys! Im a girl who doesnt know ANYTHING about this kind of stuff, and I dont want to get taken for a ride by some salesman who knows that he can squeeze every penny out of me.
Heres some pics of what it looks like...By the way, its a 2002 civic ex...

Sorry to hear about that. I think someone on here totaled their car they might have what you need. If the insurance co hasn't taken the car yet.
hmmm
hell no its 1500 for all that
i know the climate controls are hella expensive
ask the dealer for a list of parts they are gonna replace
www.hondaautomotiveparts.com has cheaper prices

I filed a claim with my insurance company but I called my claims adjuster today and told her that some of my buddys (you guys) found stuff cheaper on the internet for me, so I wont have to go through insurance after all. (I really dont want to pay my $500 deductible and watch my rates go up cause of it) so Im really glad you guys found all this stuff for me! I would have never even thought to find the piece I need on ebay.

sorry for your loss, but ebay and the junk yard would be your best bet. insurance and the honda dealer can suck it!

P.S. You can have my EX if you want it!!!!! Im getting rid of it as soon as possible!
I had the same **** happen to me when i got jacked at school. my car was only 2 weeks old and i had just put in a brand new pioneer HU. i came outside of school and found my drivers side window smashed, and interior full of water due to the heavy rain. anyway I paid like 80 bucks (brand new from Valencia honda) for the center console piece (that you might want to get new or the junk yard piece might be all scratched up and faded) (minus the HVAC/AUDIO controls).. <~~that you can get at a junk yard or whatever. To pull that piece and pop on, you just pop off that cig light panel, and theres two 8 or 10mm (forgot which size) bolting that metal frame to the chassis (feel for it) and its pretty much a matter of pressing everything on. dont let it intimidate you
