there selling me a 2003 honda civic dx silver with primer body kit
but with a K motor. how can I tell the difference between the two. A2 A3
it dosent have the intake man cover (I know the K20A2 has Ivtec in red letters). how else can I tell the difference

a3 will have a black spark plug cover and a2 will have a gray one

k20a3 is the Si or Base rsx motor.K20a2 is the RSX-S motor and k20a is the ITR motor.
make sure if it is the k20a2 or k20a that the tranny is 6spd

you could also take it for a spin ... if it revs to 8000, then it's a k20a2 ;P

easiest way to tell is that if the wire cover has an acura sign on it its and a2 otherwise its an a3 if it has honda on it...check the block for the engine code
