205/45/17 and 7" rim, any rubbing??
Well I have a dilemma right now. Its similar to the guy in this thread, the only difference is that I didn't buy my suspension yet, like the guy in the following thread. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=207486
I want to run 205/45 proxes 4, but I also want a camber kit. I don't want my tires to bend inward at the top of the tire. I know theres a slim chance, but anybody rubbing with 205/45, cause I highly doubt it. I just want to make sure though. I know if I run with 205/45 and no camber kit, I'll be 100% fine with a drop. I want to know if I'll still be okay with 205/45 with corrected camber???
The reason I specify the proxes 4 tires, cause I notice that the rim seats itself inside the tire, unlike most tires. This is to prevent curb rash from happening. The only probably with this, is that fact that it looks like the tire sticks out a tiny bit further than any other tire without this feature.
So the actually question I want to know is.
Who is dropped with proxes 4 (205's), corrected camber, with a 1 finger or 2 finger gap all around, without rubbing???

I know could get away with it without a camber kit, but I want a camber kit.

Offset plays into it a lot as far as clearing the fender lip. The rim protector in the tire won't effect rubbing.... most lower profile tires have the rim protector ring in them.
The other thing is that Honda spec camber is up to -1.5 degrees in the rear. So you're not gonna wear tires too badly regardless. Get the toe set to 0 and you shouldn't notice any adverse effects at all.

Tein drop, 17's, 215 45 tires. I got an alignment for the hell of it and my camber was at 1.4/1.5 degrees. I left it and my tires had minimal camber wear(not noticeable in the tread depth). Anyways, toe is what you really should be worried about it will wear you tires way faster than camber.

Somebody else caugh 7" rim. haha.
Sorry, but I doubt you are lowered more than 2.5". I am lowered right below 2" and my car is lower.

I have a front and rear camber kit. The front camber is within .001 on one side, and 00 on the other. The rear I had them set to -1 degree. It has perfect clearance when my tires camber in. They just barely miss the fender.
There isnt even a hairline width between the tires and fenders though, haha. My drop is right around 2". Hope this helps some.
And camber WILL wear your tires pretty fast. If you dont want new tires in 5 or 6 months, you better get a camber kit. I had my toe at 0, and camber at -2.3, -2.8. The tires were gone pretty damn fast. So toe is NOT all you need to make sure is correct. Dont ever listen to somebody saying camber wont wear your tires. IT WILL, just not as fast as toe.
