RS-R EXMAG GT II Exhaust!!

HEY guys I know a lot of people have exhausts on their vics, and I was wondering if ANY of you had the RS-R EXMAG GT-II exhaust. I'm considering buying this just because it's RS-R, but I've never heard it on any civics, so I was wondering if people knew what it sounded like, (if it sounds nice, raspy, loud, deep, etc.) and I wanted to know how it looked on the car, cuz I couldn't find pics. of it on any vics. thanks guys!!

It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUD
And thats an understatment. Think of it as a pipe just so there's an exhaust.
It'll just friggen scream, its a step up from a straight pipe, don't plan on passing any dB tests with it. Its a fairly deep tone.... but the note of the engine is gonna take over as it revs up.

hm thanks guys, so then do you guys recommend any other exhausts? cuz one main reason i was considering it, was basically because no one i knew had it and i wanted to be different haha.. but then again what i want more is a DEEP tone, i hate raspy exhausts, and ones that sound like they're farting at higher rpms

I'll recommend the regular EXMag

much better option. doesnt look as wacky too. and isnt as loud...

I duno though, u seem to really want that DEEP tone. the Exmag has its tone, but isnt as deep maybe as you would like. search on it.

u might want to take a look at the tanabe hyper or racing medallion selections too.

no do not look at the tanabe racing. it's just as loud as the gtII. tanabe hyper ONLY. GT spec will be loud as well. trust me you'll hate it after a couple of months.

i guess the Evo is the better choice.

tanabe hyper is street application.. lower tone and none of those crazy loud as possible noise.

the Apexi GT Spec is also loud as hell.

you keep picking these loud ones man. lol

Evo 2 is loud too.. but more on the deep side. those Evo ones are usually like that. check in the exhaust clip thread.. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=71100

i duno, other ones are the HKS axel-back.. lol what was it called again?

me, I'll buy the RS-R EXmag. thats nice stuff. looks clean, good construction.. and again not everyone and their mom has it.

how do you guys like skunk2 then?? i want something that sounds really deep in lower rpms, and doesnt sound like a rice rocket in the higher, like... but still something that's decently loud not one that's barely louder than stock or something

skunk 2 i hear is loud again. just look at the rate your exhaust thread i started. your best bet i think is the EVO2. moderately loud and people say it's nice and deep in tone. other than the HKS axel back is another great option.

the apex N1 axel back will give you a nice deep sound. but not loud. the engine will be take over past 4000 rpm.

check out clubrsx's exhaust clip thread. they have tons of clips there (including the world sport). the rsx's would sound similar to ours except when vtec kicks in.

hm.. i just heard 2 sound clips of the SKUNK2 and i thought it was okay, but then again it's just a sound clip and not something i heard in person, and i thought it was okay... is it like totally a cop attractor or what? it seemed to have a pretty deep sound to it, and i also heard the Tanabe one as well and i thought that was pretty deep, and in terms of Deep imo the Greddy Evo2 doesnt seem deep at all, cuz alot of my friends have that exhaust and hearing it on my friends EP hatch it didnt seem too deep at all, and i'm judging our 7th gen's wont sound any deeper cuz of the fact that our engines are smaller than the ep hatch K series engines... um.. yea, the Evo 1 sounds much better for some reason on the same EP hatch model that another friend has but the EVO2 sounds more raspy mid toned rather than being deep... just something i observed... but yea thanks though for your inputs, and i'm still looking cuz my friend gave me prices for the GREDDY EVO2, Tanabe Hyper Medallion and the SKUNK2 and the evo and tanabe are same in price and skunk costs around $40 more, and if i were to choose by price i would probably go with the tanabe 1) because not many people have it it seems, and i want to have something different than everyone, 2) it sounded pretty nice, but if other people think the Skunk2 sounds pretty deep too or nice, it'd be great if more people could voice their opinions on these 3 exhausts, if you have or have heard them in person etc. thanks guys!! alot

hm interesting, i've never had anyone recommend me magnaflow before, oh and about the SKUNK2 does it drone at highway speeds?? i like the low rpm deep sound, but i haven't heard it on actual street, i've only heard it revving so i'm not sure... if anyone could enlighten me about that, it'd be great, thanks!

stay away from invidia.

espelir is one expensive japanese brand.
http://www.espelir.co.jp/

the thing about their JT system is.. this is supposely being distributed only recently (like around 2-3 years ago? i duno)

but yeah. not a lot of people are sporting those.

to be honest they're the one i dont have enough info on cuz i never follow up on them. for all i know they can be the APC of japan. heh.

but they're distributed by Mackin Industries supposely so who knows. maybe not crap. here's that site: http://www.mackinindustries.com/espelir.html

its just I dont see any exhaust listed on their official site (the japan one)... and once i saw a way too cheap pricelist for espelir systems..

it was for our year too. so its like, wtf? (I know price doesnt determine product quality, but it made me feel like it was just generic stuff stamped with espelir on it.)

anyways i digress.

its probably good stuff, just seems like a bit overkill though. who knwos, might be what ure looking for since like mentioned, not a lot of people has it.

I have the regular Ex-Mag and would buy another one without question.

Extremely well contructed, just the right amount of stealthy and the sound is fantastic. Warm and throaty at low RPMs but screams in the upper RPMs. It is not obnoxious like the coffee cans on 'roids.
