Hey everyone... My group, SactoCXV, is kicking around the idea of having a BBQ in Elk Grove Park this Saturday, April 9th. I know it's late notice, but I'm posting this message to see how many guys and gals are interested in showing up for some grub, some games, and an afternoon photoshoot. Are you down to go?

Here's the details:

General Location: Elk Grove Regional Park ~ 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Rd., Elk Grove, CA

Within the Park Location: In the grassy area between the Rotary Grove Picnic Area and the Pavilion Bldg. Parking is nearby. Look for at least one folding table and a volleyball net set up in a partially shady spot (if available). To view a map of the park, click here!

Time: Arrive anywhere from 11:30 to 2:00. We may be out there later, depending on the weather and how many folks show up.

What to Bring:

Food: We're going semi-potluck on this so please bring a dish with you, or bring a couple of bucks to contribute to those who do bring food. To get a good idea of who's bringing what [Dish or Cash], let me know what you're planning ASAP.

Seats: If the Rotary Picnic Area isn't being used, we may be able to grab a picnic table or two, but don't count on that 100%. Just in case, bringing folding chairs and/or a blanket to sit on is probably a good idea.

General Rules:

We ask that everyone be respectful of the park and the others using its various facilities. Therefore, please NO Burnouts, NO Agressive Driving, and NO excessively loud music. Everyone is welcome to this event, so let's be respectful to each other and our surroundings and have a good time!

If you're interested in going, let me know ASAP with your name, # of people coming with you, and if you'll be bringing food/cash.

Yeah, sorry about the short notice, but this weekend seems ideal since there doesn't appear to be any other meets/events going on in NorCal, the weather will be decent, and there's a greater chance of people having a couple extra bucks to hit the grocery stores or spring for a pizza, etc. If the response is low, I may end up having to postpone again... but if you guys change your minds, let me know... as always, the more the merrier!
