Get the 6.5's. You have so much reflection off that back glass anyway. Get a 6.5 that isn't a 2 way setup. We can put a nice clean mid in the front door and put some tweets up higher. The back can be 10db down and won't tear up your front stage.

Agreed but pillars are a little forward of the sail panels and can give you an imaging edge if you want to get really picky!

Nice so at least its a 12db/octave slope on the tweets... what frequency does that work out to...? 3000Hz?

Thank god for old school PPI! I love my Power Class amp!!! Need to find some used! I think I'm converting over to class D amps for subs though instead of A/B class amps... just for efficency you know!

I dont think Jeff brought it to the meet but I'm wondering if his DIN size unit is the PAR45...?

Peace

I actually bought the audiocontrol 4.1 over the 1/2din PPI unit... never had a regret though that audiocontrol was a tank! ZERO noise! awesome, I'd buy another, 10volt rms and 13volts peak output to the amps!!!

Peace

Ok well the only other thing that is a slight possiblility is that the surround of the speaker might be leaking... do this at night or in the dark where your hearing is more sensitive but get down right by the cone and push it like you did before and listen for air leaking or rushing while you push it and when its coming back up...

How is it sounding? Better or do you want more?

Peace

it's sounds unbelieveable, my gf is gonna buy my me a 4 channel amp for my bday and i'm getting the infinity components as well, me and dallis are gonna put the 6.5s in the rear instead of 6x9s, the guy at frys kept telling me it was a waste of money that i should get the coxial 6.5s from infinity to put in the back...the components would be best right?

Thats good! I would put the new components(your just bought infiniti's) up front and just run the old(infiniti that you blew the tweeter) midbasses in the rear deck so you dont have too much high freq coming from the rear... that'll jack the soundstage unless you have them turned way down. Are you gonna get the sail panels from an EXcoupe so you can have a clean mount of the tweeters???

Peace
